Central West meeting updates

Racing Queensland confirms that the race meeting scheduled for Tambo and District Race Club on Saturday August 2 has been abandoned due to significant rainfall over the weekend.

The track is currently not suitable for racing and there is no chance of the track drying sufficiently to race.

A new meeting has been programmed for Saturday August 2 at the Longreach Jockey Club.

The new program is as follows: 

Open Handicap, 1200m, $12k

QTIS Class 4 Handicap, 1400m, $10k

Class 2 Plate, Set Weights, 1000m, $10k

Benchmark 60 Handicap, 1600m, $10k

Benchmark 50 Handicap, 1200m, $10k

Maiden Plate, Set Weights, 1200m, $10k

The new meeting deadlines are listed below:

Nominations close: Tuesday, July 29 at 11am

Acceptances: Thursday, July 31 at 10am

Jockeys: Thursday, July 31 at 1pm
