RACE 1

STUDLEIGH MARK (5) showed very good early speed last start to find the front before handing over to Getagrip and being dragged out of the race at a crucial stage. He is racing in good form and can likely push forward in the early stages. If he is able to find the top he will be very hard to catch in this grade.

THE HARRIS HAWK (2) worked hard last start to find the front before handing over to Khulan Kid who went on to be well beaten. He can figure in this race not working as hard as he was last start for the lead.

ONE LAST ROLL (9) was a recent winner from the stand start at Marburg when securing a good run on the leaders back. He draws to do no work early in this race and can be running on late if the race is run to suit.

FORGIVE ME (7) is having her first start for new trainer Michael Brennan. She trialled up well for this grade of race recently at Albion Park when beaten 46.6 metres.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH MARK (5), THE HARRIS HAWK (2), ONE LAST ROLL (9), FORGIVE ME (7)

SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH MARK (5) to win.

RACE 2

TAYLORS FOUR (5) looks to land in a very suitable race here where she can push forward and race up on the speed. She was well beaten last start in a race with much more depth taken out by Go The Red who was suited by a strong early tempo. She had been a good winner her start prior.

MAHINDI (7) drops in grade into this race where she draws awkwardly inside the back row. She took on a stronger race last start taken out by Imani. If the luck comes at the right time she should be hard to hold out late.

OYSTER STRIDE (2) has good early speed and may look to push forward in the early stages of this race. He was luckless last start when working forward before being shuffled back. He goes best in front and could run a race if he found the top.

MAYWYNS KAREN (1) worked too hard last start and was well beaten but her starts prior she was showing improvement. Has options from the draw.

SELECTIONS: TAYLORS FOUR (5), MAHINDI (7), OYSTER STRIDE (2), MAYWYNS KAREN (1)

SUGGESTED BET: TAYLORS FOUR (5) to win.

RACE 3

RIGHTYO (8) got the perfect run 1 out 1 back last start and was nabbed in the concluding stages by Rocktime. He should secure a good run again in this race following through on the back of a horse that should be close enough in the run.

MISTER HART (1) has good early speed and may be able to hold the front early. He isn’t quite racing at his absolute best but does generally go well out in front and he could bounce back to form in this race.

THE MISSING SOCK (2) ran well three starts ago at Parkes in what looks like it might’ve been a slightly strong race. Draws favourably in this race and shouldn’t be too far away from the draw.

GHOST TRAIN (6) draws poorly in this race but has been racing particularly well in recent starts. She is likely to get back and if the tempo is on she can be running into the finish.

SELECTIONS: RIGHTYO (8), MISTER HART (1), THE MISSING SOCK (2), GHOST TRAIN (6)

SUGGESTED BET: RIGHTYO (8) to win.

RACE 4

TARIFA GIRL (1) didn’t have much luck last start when getting a long way back in the race. She draws to get all the favours in this race from the inside gate this time. She has early speed and should be able to dictate in the early stages.

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (10) was a winner last start at this track when leading all the way after being able to control the tempo early. She won’t get the same favours this time being able to land in front but she can be running on late if the race is run to suit.

TYPHOON TORQUE (7) hasn’t been at her absolute best in recent outings which have looked a touch stronger than this field. She goes much better on the fence and could secure an economical run in this race.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (3) returned after a few weeks off racing last start and hit the line solidly late. He has always been a capable horse and is generally hitting the line well late when the tempo suits. Shouldn’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: TARIFA GIRL (1), ABSOLUTELY STOKED (10), TYPHOON TORQUE (7), CHEDDAR MADE BETA (3)

SUGGESTED BET: TYPHOON TORQUE (7) each way.

RACE 5

NIGHT NINJA (2) has good early speed and might be able to find the front in this race a position he has had success in previously. He isn’t noted as being a tough horse but has plenty of speed and if he can control the race he could prove hard to catch.

TRACER BULLET (8) was able to hang on for fourth three starts ago after doing the work outside the leader. He appears to drop right back in grade for this race and may be able to work around to the breeze. He should be hard to beat.

DOOLITTLE DAYS (9) secured an economical run last start before hitting the line strongly behind Miss Hattie. She needs the right run in her races without having done too much early work but should be able to run on well if she can secure the right run.

MAGIC NITRO (5) needs the right trip in her races to figure but appears to land in the right type of grade here. She should get a good run off the speed and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: NIGHT NINJA (2), TRACER BULLET (8), DOOLITTLE DAYS (9), MAGIC NITRO (5)

SUGGESTED BET: NIGHT NINJA (2) to win.

RACE 6

COPY WRITER (8) was a runner up two starts ago in good time at Marburg for this type of grade. She draws to do no work in the early stages which appears to be how she is best suited.

DANCIN DOLLY (4) started inside the back row last start at this track. Hadn’t started for almost a month prior to last start and is likely to be better for the outing there. Appears to have found an easier race.

MOLLIDOR (5) was a runner up two starts in a row two and three starts ago at Marburg and Redcliffe. She draws wide in this race and isn’t usually a horse to get into the race from off the speed but it does look a weak race.

LARA BAY (7) has been a long way off her best in recent outings but does drop back in grade. She probably isn’t ideally suited inside the back row as a horse without great change up speed.

SELECTIONS: COPY WRITER (8), DANCIN DOLLY (4), MOLLIDOR (5), LARA BAY (7)

SUGGESTED BET: COPY WRITER (8) to win.

RACE 7

SHES VICTORIOUS (2) was a good second two race starts ago at Pinjarra behind Torrevean Pinky which looks good enough form for a race of this nature. She has trialled up well enough recently and should be very hard to beat if she can find the front.

GLENEAGLE FIRE (7) was on debut last start and made solid ground behind a pair of horses that look to be smart enough. She draws awkwardly inside the back row in this race and will need luck at some stage.

EATING IN CHICAGO (3) was well beaten two starts back when finishing seventh behind Mullum Aretha. She hasn’t raced for almost a month but if she is fully fit she should be hard to beat in this race.

TAKEN BY SURPRISE (5) ran on nicely into third last start when first up from a spell behind Vincent Belle. She looks likely to get back in the run in this race.

SELECTIONS: SHES VICTORIOUS (2), GLENEAGLE FIRE (7), EATING IN CHICAGO (3), TAKEN BY SURPRISE (5)

SUGGESTED BET:
