Form Analysis: Albion Park August

26 August 2025

RACE ONE

After three successive victories to start his career, KICKING HORSE (2) made an error when deep in the red and looking to remain undefeated. Unable to reel in ICONIC IMAGE when runner-up in the Triad Final last start, he should be too classy for this small lineup.

 DESIRING DIAMONDS (3)
has placed in four of her five career starts, including an 8m 3rd behind ICONIC IMAGE two starts back. Holdin 3rd against older types last start, she can be handy enough to throw down the challenge and looks the only threat.

 SMOKEY BEAR (4)
is still chasing a maiden breaking win that is proving elusive after seven minors in 10 starts for the term. If he can get away cleanly, he can give some cheek.

 FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY (1)
took no part in the Triad Final after an error. Manners will be vital.

SELECTIONS: KICKING HORSE (2), DESIRING DIAMONDS (3), SMOKEY BEAR (4), FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
KICKING HORSE (2) to win

RACE TWO

Building a handy record here at The Creek since arriving with the Dwyer barn, MCGEE (8) will have second line options as the lone runner from the second line. Claiming a QBRED feature success last start with a dominant performance, he can look to build on that win here.

 TE RAPA (6)
was locked away from the 10m tape here last time out and was attacking the line when finishing with the silver and under 4m from the winner CALL ME TROUBLE. Still chasing a first win from behind the start car after 10 attempts, he can throw it down here.

 CALL ME TROUBLE (7)
overcame standing start conditions here last week and proved too strong with a tough effort. Making an error on Saturday, if he gets it right, he can feature in this.

 HAMMER SON (3)
was well supported here last week but made an error soon after the start. Down the line the start prior, he finds conditions to feature.

SELECTIONS: MCGEE (8), TE RAPA (6), CALL ME TROUBLE (7), HAMMER SON (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MCGEE (8) to win

RACE THREE

Resuming from a let up, TUMULT (8) was last seen in late April when finishing 8m from the winner, IGNITE, after being asked to work in the run. Buried away the start prior when faced with a 40m impost, she finds the right conditions to issue a challenge first up.

 CROOKWELL EYES (10)
has worked his way into form, hitting the board at his past five in succession, which has included a pair of victories. Finding the pocket trail here last week, he was able to land the winning blow and post a 4m margin. Positioning cheaply will be key.

 ALADDIN SANE (11)
found the 1x1 trail from a 20m tape last start and looking to launch a closing raid was runner-up to CROOKWELL EYES. A similar trip can present here.

 MIDNIGHT SECRET (6)
was a winner here two starts back when finding the front and dictating. Making an error last start, he lines up for the new stable for the first time for this assignment.

SELECTIONS: TUMULT (8), CROOKWELL EYES (10), ALADDIN SANE (11), MIDNIGHT SECRET (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

After two runs back from a spell, MY ROCKY ROMANCE (3) should be approaching the level to stake his claim in this contest. Luckless last start when searching for gaps that did not open when needed, he has early hustle to find position and near the front end, will be tough to stop.

 OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (5)
was sent around them from the second line last start where he was forced to work hard in the run. In for the fight, he was grafting it out to hold on for the silver. Not suited at Redcliffe the start prior, he can press forward again here to challenge.

 ART JESTER (1)
eased off the arm from gate 7 last start and chased some short cuts and was not that far from the winner NILA MAREE. The inside gate is a huge asset to his chances.

 O B LEGAL (8)
started from this same gate in similar company two starts back when holding on for the bronze behind CONEY ISLAND LOU. With second line options, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MY ROCKY ROMANCE (3), OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (5), ART JESTER (1), O B LEGAL (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MY ROCKY ROMANCE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

With many of these same 3YO’s backing up from the QBRED Triad Final, LAYDOWNLUNA (5) will be looking to repeat what she was able to achieve in that victory. Pressing forward taking control, she kept them running and held off the challengers to score. With added fitness, she can repeat.

 FARROKH (6)
was sent out as the fav in the Triad where he faced a second line gate and was able to settle in the 1x1 trail. Trying to launch his raid, he was unable to reel in the leader and missed the minors when chasing a hat-trick of victories. He can chase redemption.

 ASPIRING VICTREE (3)
started from gate 1 in the Triad Final where she was sent forward after being beaten for early speed. Midfield after a tough trip, limiting the early burn will be key here.

 DOWN SOUTH DAISY (9)
has been runner-up at four of her past five starts, the latest behind LAYDOWNLUNA. Chasing FARROKH at both prior starts, she can chalk up another minor here.

SELECTIONS: LAYDOWNLUNA (5), FARROKH (6), ASPIRING VICTREE (3), DOWN SOUTH DAISY (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Finding the front has proven beneficial for IM LORD TOMMY (5) with his two victories on this deck both coming when dictating terms. Wide off the track last start for the bronze after facing a second line gate at the middle trip. He controlled it two back from gate four and can repeat that.

 OUR SWEET JESS (7)
found the best fillies a little too slippery last start in the Triad Final when down the line behind ARRIVE. Midfield in the heats from an awkward gate, she is afforded no favours here but with the right trip is up to issuing a challenge.

 ARENDELLE (12)
is better suited at the middle trip and last start could not get warm at the mile. Not far behind subsequent winner MAGIC MOTH two starts back, he can be joining in here.

 MY ULTIMATE MARIO (4)
started from inside the second line last time out and was shuffled back when the field sorted position. Making some late metres, he can be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: IM LORD TOMMY (5), OUR SWEET JESS (7), ARENDELLE (12), MY ULTIMATE MARIO (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
IM LORD TOMMY (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Making his first Aus appearance a winning one here three starts back, RAKASANDY (10) started deep in the red and justified the short quote with a gritty victory. Following that with a 3rd behind SWEET MIA, it was not a smooth trip last start. Despite the tricky gate, this is within reach.

 IMANI (5)
fired off the arm here last start before taking the trail and stalking the speed then had a clear shot to claim a 2m winning margin. Runner-up via the passing lane three starts back behind LA MIKI, she has the early hustle to find the poles and issue the challenge.

 EAGLESPRIDE (8)
will be locked away from this gate but if able to find some space, can be looking to make a play for the podium in the stretch.

 HARPERVILLE (3)
has picked up one minor in five attempts since arriving on Qld. Just missing the money here last week on a sloppy track, she can find the running line to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: RAKASANDY (10), IMANI (5), EAGLESPRIDE (8), HARPERVILLE (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
RAKASANDY (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

Facing the same handicap as last week, SEND IT (7) can build off that effort where he was chasing over the closing stages for the bronze behind MYDADSAID. Tackling tougher opposition, the start prior when 7m from subsequent winner FRANKIE FEROCIOUS, he can make a raid.

 FREE THINKER (8)
was best of the chasers here last week when runner-up to MYDADSAID which dictated in front. Doing all the heavy lifting when parked in that contest, the start prior he made an early error which ended his hopes. A similar effort to last week can see him challenge.

 BETTERTHAN POPSY (4)
made a mess of the start here last week ending any chance. His effort three back at Redcliffe was full of merit and if can step to settle handy, can run a cheeky race.

 IRON CLAD (1)
will need to step much more cleanly than he did last week when sent to the post as fav. Slowly away his front tape advantage was soon nullified.

SELECTIONS: SEND IT (7), FREE THINKER (8), BETTERTHAN POPSY (4), IRON CLAD (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SEND IT (7) to win

RACE NINE

Completing a hat-trick of victories here last time out, NILA MAREE (5) was forced to do it the tough way when parked and grinding out a 3m margin. Pressing to the front and holding a 2m advantage the start prior, the big query is the 2138m trip, but she looks to have plenty of upside.

 WAMBOYNEINAMERICA (3)
made the most of conditions here two starts back when finding the front and once in control was able to fend them off and post a 10m margin. Beaten by a second line gate last start when settled midfield, he can fire off the arm to throw it down.

 ALTA SENSATION (8)
will have the second line options here as the lone runner off the back and can find the running line early if needed. In a mixed season, he is a podium player with the right trip.

 JENSVILLE (4)
has placed in both Qld appearances, the latest over this same trip when showing early hustle before releasing and finishing 5m from FERNCO NEL. Settling handy will help.

SELECTIONS: NILA MAREE (5), WAMBOYNEINAMERICA (3), ALTA SENSATION (8), JENSVILLE (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
