RACE 1

BLUE DRAGON (6) was first up last start in the state and was able to score an impressive victory over Good Looking Jujon. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that first up outing and should be hard to beata again in what looks a moderate race.

ALL EYES ON BLING (5) was able to lead recently at this track when run down by Magic Jujon who rated good time when winning. She draws wide but is likely to be able to find the front if she can hold the advantage on her main rival in Blue Dragon.

UNTENABLE (7) draws awkwardly in this race inside the back row but does appear to be a clear third pick. Ran on nicely behind Jacks Fyre to not be beaten far and should be hard to beat again in this race if the race is run to suit.

DREAMTIME NALA (2) looks likely she will be able to challenge the top few In this race but on her better efforts she looks a hope for the minor money.

SELECTIONS: BLUE DRAGON (6), ALL EYES ON BLING (5), UNTENABLE (7), DREAMTIME NALA (2)

SUGGESTED BET: BLUE DRAGON (6) to win.

RACE 2

WRITE ABOUT ANGUS (2) has been racing in good form and appears to have found a suitable race where he may be able to find the front. He hasn’t won in nearly 7 months but has often run well and has been forced to do the work on a number of occasions when battling away well.

ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (8) should get a good run through on the back of what is likely to be one of the fancied runners in this race. Her numerical form is poor but she is seemingly racing well enough to figure in a race of this nature from a good draw.

OUR DOLLY (5) returned to form last start when running second to Shakatie after sitting on the leaders back throughout the race. She draws wide this time and may be forced to do the work in this race which could make it tough for her.

MAJOR TRALEE (6) hasn’t been racing at his absolute best in recent outings and will need to bounce back to form to take out this race which looks tricky from a poor draw.

SELECTIONS: WRITE ABOUT ANGUS (2), ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (8), OUR DOLLY (5), MAJOR TRALEE (6)

SUGGESTED BET: WRITE ABOUT ANGUS (2) to win.

RACE 3

BETTOR BE BODHI (5) appears to have very good early speed and may look to take a strong shot for the lead in this race. If he can find the front it is likely he would prove hard to run down in this company having run a good second two starts ago when finding the pegs at Albion Park.

SAINT MAHARG (3) has been racing in likely stronger maidens than a lot of his main rivals at Albion Park and may find this race a touch easier. He was well beaten last start after starting on the back row in a strong race taken out by Son Of Xena.

QILIN (7) appeared to have good ability in a recent trial when hitting the line nicely late to not be beaten far. It’s likely he has derived a lot of benefit from that outing in his recent trial and despite the awkward draw he can figure with luck.

SASSABA (2) appears to have good early speed and should be able to hold a forward position. Ran well when not beaten far last time out having done all the work in the race.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR BE BODHI (5), SAINT MAHARG (3), QILIN (7), SASSABA (2)

SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR BE BODHI (5) to win.

RACE 4

GOTTA DREAM (6) draws widest in this race which is likely to see him forced to work at some stage. He was forced to do all the work three starts ago at Albion Park and proved far to good for his rivals there suggesting he is capable of being driven that way if needed.

JIMMY JOYCE (8) ran a good second two starts ago to the in-form Three Machs and appears to find a similar type of race. He looks suited off the back row draw in this race and should be close enough in the run.

UNIT FORTY ONE (1) put in a solid run when returning from a spell and running second to Batman Bart before doing things wrong in his latest outing at Marburg. He draws ideally in this race and should secure a good run.

FILLY THIRTEEN (7) has been a long way off her usual consistent best for some time. She drops right back in grade and draws well to follow out a runner that is likely to want to hold a forward position.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA DREAM (6), JIMMY JOYCE (8), UNIT FORTY ONE (1), FILLY THIRTEEN (7)

SUGGESTED BET: FILLY THIRTEEN (7) each way.

RACE 5

EXCUSE TO COLLECT (2) joins the stable of Jack Butler having done its previous racing in NSW for a lesser known trainer. Appears to bring a similar profile to a number of former NSW horses which have joined the stable and won a few races quickly.

LITTLEMICKEY (10) hit the line strongly three starts ago when running second when only getting into the clear very late at this track. He draws poorly inside this race outside the back row and will likely be relying on a genuine early tempo in this race to bring him into the contest.

OCTOBER RACKETEER (6) draws poorly outside the front row after a good run last start behind Lulu Lucifer. This race looks a touch more difficult than his last start race where he may find himself a long way back and rely on other horses overdoing it at some stage.

SHEROCKSMYWORLD (5) has been racing well and generally hits the line well late every run. She is likely to get a long way back from the wide draw and with the right run into the race again shouldn’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: EXCUSE TO COLLECT (2), LITTLEMICKEY (10), OCTOBER RACKETEER (6), SHEROCKSMYWORLD (5)

SUGGESTED BET: EXCUSE TO COLLECT (2) to win.

RACE 6

PRECOCIOUS KATE (3) was run down three starts ago by Call It Bling after leading over the 2040 at this track. She is likely better suited over the 1780 in this race and has good early speed which she showed last start before ducking to the pegs and running a good placing behind Zac Daniels.

THE TIGER ARMY (5) didn’t have much luck last start at Marburg when being overtaken mid race before coming off the pegs to do the work and battling on well for third behind Misty Creek. He looks likely to be forced to work or get a long way back in this race.

PRINCE JOY (9) scored an all the way win at this track four starts ago and appears to be in a race with less depth here. He will be hoping for a genuine early tempo and can be running into it late.

ARKUNA (1) isn’t known for having the best gate speed which could make the draw slightly tricky. She should still secure a good run either way and is rarely far away in her races.

SELECTIONS: PRECOCIOUS KATE (3), THE TIGER ARMY (5), PRINCE JOY (9), ARKUNA (1)

SUGGESTED BET: PRECOCIOUS KATE (3) to win.

RACE 7

ROCK NIEN (4) draws awkwardly in this race and will likely be forced to do work at some stage. He led and rated good time in front two starts ago and was just run down late by Bart Bently who was able to come from off the speed.

SCRUFFY (7) was a winner five starts ago when securing a good run on the pegs behind the speed and sprinting best to work. He may secure a good run in this race again and over the 2040 he will be hard to hold out late.

HELL OF A HAND (1) has good early speed and should be able to hold a prominent position in this race. She has often run well with a trail and may elect to hand over and follow something before taking her shot up the sprint lane late.

CHAMONIX (6) hasn’t been in his best form in recent outings but is likely to find this easier and should be suited getting back in the run from the wide draw in this race. Can bounce back.

SELECTIONS: ROCK NIEN (4), SCRUFFY (7), HELL OF A HAND (1), CHAMONIX (6)

SUGGESTED BET: SCRUFFY (7) to win.

RACE 8

EMPRESS BYLINE (1) was solid first up from a spell when running fifth after not having a huge amount of luck. She looks likely to be able to lead in this race before having options from there and should be hard to beat however it plays out early.

DENVER COLORADO (4) is first up for the stable of Donny Smith a trainer that has had a number of horses impress when first up for the stable in recent times. He is a last start winner at Parkes and should be hard to beat if able to secure the right run.

ENGLISH DANCE (6) has been racing in stronger company and hasn’t had a lot of luck in recent outings. He looks destined to do the work again at some stage in this race given a wide draw. He should be hard to beat with the right run into it.

ANTETOKOUNMPO (7) has been impressive since landing back in QLD where has raced well previously. He draws favourably behind a runner that is likely to be well supported in the race.

SELECTIONS: EMPRESS BYLINE (1), DENVER COLORADO (4), ENGLISH DANCE (6), ANTETOKOUNMPO (7)

SUGGESTED BET: EMPRESS BYELINE (1) to win.
