Racing Queensland has advised wagering operators that it will increase Race Field Fees (RFF), effective 1 February 2019. It will be the first RFF increase since 1 January 2017.
The modest increase will be followed by a broad review of Queensland’s RFF model which will consider the evolving wagering landscape across Australia. That review will be completed before 1 July 2019.
Racing Queensland needs to be more commercial to support our vast industry across all codes and we have many other critical sustainability priorities which require funding in addition to the recent prize money increases.
A summary of the revised RFF is set out on the Racing Queensland website and can be found at: https://www.racingqueensland.com.au/Corporate/Wagering-Licencing/Race-Information
