A number of Queensland racing clubs will benefit from more than $260,000 in capital improvements after receiving funding through the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
In total, nine clubs will receive a total of $264,751 in grant funding to enhance their capacity in providing services, leisure activities and opportunities for participants.
The nine successful projects are:
Marburg Pacing Association
Disability access facility construction
Dawson Jockey Club
Covered viewing area extension
Gayndah Jockey Club
Springsure Jockey Club
Power supply upgrade and power pole relocation
Gordonvale Turf Club
Mower purchase and shade sail installation
Innisfail Turf Club
Security fence and cameras installation
Muttaburra Amateur Turf Club
Roma Turf Club
PA sound system installation
Toowoomba Turf Club
Fuel storage facility construction
Round 107 of the GCBF is currently open, and Racing Queensland encourages all eligible clubs to submit their applications.
Applications close at 11.59pm on October 31, 2020.
