RACE TWO

ROLLONX (5) is a gazelle out of the machine and despite landing wider off the front, can look to light the fuse early. Runner-up to I AM SPARTA three starts back when in search of a hat-trick of wins, he went under at his next start when asked to sit parked. His speed can see him in position to strike.

KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (6) was first up last start when sent out as the favourite from gate 3, sent to the front but could not see it out. 3m from the winner two starts back, she was sent for the let up before the last start return and despite the wide gate, can look to throw it down in this company.

ABBEY DIADEMA (2) resumed from a spell last start with a midfield finish after settling in the running line from gate 8. The improved alley can see her close enough to feature.

SELECTIONS: ROLLONX (5), KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (6), ABBEY DIADEMA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROLLONX (5) to win

RACE THREE

Some smart performances in the heats of this series have set up the final to be a cracking contest. Winning his past four in succession SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (6) will have to overcome the map to win this, his main danger drawn two alleys closer to the poles. Completing the quartet with a tough heat win, he looks up to the task.

FRANCO NANDOR (4) has returned from a spell in hot touch, going 3 for 3 to remain undefeated this season. Leading with ease from gate 6 here last week to win this heat from the front end with a slick last half, it followed an effortless victory in front over the AP mile. He will launch a big claim for this.

PINUP BOY (1) was buried away against the poles from this same alley last time and when the gaps opened chimed in for the bronze. A while since his best has been displayed, the gate helps.

LA SAFRON (3) ticked over another minor last time out to make it six in succession. Darting through along the passing lane for the silver behind FRANCO NANDOR, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (6), FRANCO NANDOR (4), PINUP BOY (1), LA SAFRON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (6) to win

RACE FOUR

BLISSFULL LILLY (2)
has faces some wide gates at her past three starts and should appreciate the tighter alley here. Down the line over the AP mile last start from the second line, she has early hustle and from the improved alley can look for the position to capitalise.

HY VOLTAGE (3) is a speedster that will be in front from this alley and then be looking to fight them off. Setting the speed over the AP mile last time, he held on for the silver with only FLYING ART getting past. Wilting in front the start prior, his chances rest on how hard the early speed is.

GASMONKEY (4) was caught wide and forced to roll the sleeves outside the leader last start and could not see it out. The gate makes it tough once again, but he can be chiming in.

BLACKJACK BART (1) will take further benefit from his latest outing when second up from a spell. Eased from gate 5 to find the poles, he finished midfield to FRANCO NANDOR with the gate a big plus.

SELECTIONS: BLISSFULL LILLY (2), HY VOLTAGE (3), GASMONKEY (4), BLACKJACK BART (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BLISSFULL LILLY (2) to win

RACE FIVE

MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (5) is yet to land a win this season and he will need to overcome the tough gate, but he is getting close to cashing in. Tackling a high class 3YO event last start when down the line behind SPEAK THE TRUTH, he was game when parked two back and holding 2nd. He can arrive in an open event.

HIGH ON MONTANA (3) started from the second line last start and was soon put into the contest, circling the field to sit parked. After the tough trip, he was able to graft out a 2m winning margin which had followed an unsuitable inside second line gate. From this alley he can challenge again.

BE ON THE SLY (1) was stuck for position last start from the wide gate and never got into the contest. That followed a hat-trick of wins and with the improved gate can be in the mix.

ULAANBAATAR (7) may have the lone win this season but has been consistent with seven minors also to her name. A passing lane 3rd here last start, she will again be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (5), HIGH ON MONTANA (3), BE ON THE SLY (1), ULAANBAATAR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (5) to win

RACE SIX

SO MUCH MORE (3)
placed in both starts here on The Triangle when resuming from a spell with a passing lane 2nd to SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE and a gritty 2nd when parked outside DANGERZONE. Beaten in red figures last start at headquarters, he finds conditions to open his 2022 account.

RAINBOW JET (1) tackled an APG race last start at headquarters where he found LOVE YOUR WORK far too slippery when well beaten. A beaten fav three starts back after having every conceivable, he struck trouble two back, ending his chances. The gate gives him the opportunity for redemption.

KATACHA MAN (8) started from inside the second line last time out and with the economical trip grabbed the bronze. Not too far away the start prior, he can be chiming in once again.

MIGHTY GEORGE (5) hit the line strongly here three starts back and franked that effort when finishing best to claim a smart win at his next attempt. The gate stings, but he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SO MUCH MORE (3), RAINBOW JET (1), KATACHA MAN (8), MIGHTY GEORGE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SO MUCH MORE (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1)
faced a tough second line gate last time out at Marburg and was making some closing metres to grab 3rd after being sent out as the favourite. With he options from this gate, he finds the right conditions to look for a third won for the season.

LEFT IN THE WIND (7) pressed on from the wide gate to claim a 947m scamper in the Trot Rods last week. With two wins in her past four starts, both of those wins have come when in front and from the inside second line this time, will need a slice of luck to issue the challenge.

DATSINAHURRI (2) was able to overcome the second line last start when sent forward in the middle stages to sit parked and then pull clear for a 7m victory. With the improved gate, she looms large.

GRETELS GIRL (4) tackled a Trot Rods heat last week from a wide gate and was solid to the line in finishing 5m in arrears of the winner LEFT IN THE WIND. With good early speed, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1), LEFT IN THE WIND (7), DATSINAHURRI (2), GRETELS GIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SCHOOBY (8)
may have come up with the second line gate here but he is going well enough and finds the right opposition to take his career tally to a dozen victories. Claiming a Trot Rods heat last week, he finished best at Marburg two starts back for a tidy win and can back-to-back here.

PAGEANTRY (1) did not have the Trot Rods hustle required last start from gate 1 in finishing 9m from the winner LEFT IN THE WIND. Grabbing 3rd at each of his previous two starts, he has the gate to be close enough to the action to challenge in this line up.

MOLLIDOR (4) should take some added benefit from her last appearance when second up from a freshen. Snagged back from the wide gate over the AP mile, she can be closer to chime in here.

WEDDING NIGHT (5) has the wide gate to negotiate but her form in recent starts has been sound in this type of grade. Only 5m away two starts back after being buried in the run, she is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: SCHOOBY (8), PAGEANTRY (1), MOLLIDOR (4), WEDDING NIGHT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SCHOOBY (8) to win

RACE NINE

GHOST GUM (7)
will require some factors in his favour, but they look likely and that will give him the chance to capitalise. Trying to take them all the way at Marburg last start, he was able to walk them early but could not finish them off. Fitter for that run where he was second up, he can pinch this.

BERTILS FIREFOX (1) tackled a tougher contest at The Creek last start and also faced a second line gate to make it tougher. Holding 3rd behind SCHOOBY here three starts back, he has great speed off the arm and from this gate will be in the position to challenge.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (4) was sent forward from gate 4 last start to sit parked and after doing the heavy lifting, faded in the closing stages. He can get forward again and be trying to fight on.

TURN TURN FLYER (9) has the tough gate but should be able to make a closing play in this grade. Striking trouble last start, he was 3rd here two runs back and can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: GHOST GUM (7), BERTILS FIREFOX (1), WILD ABOUT TOWN (4), TURN TURN FLYER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GHOST GUM (7) to win
