RACE ONE

ROCKSLIDE (9)
faced a wide gate last start in a 947m blitz that ended his chances. Game in defeat after sitting parked here two starts back when sitting parked from gate 4, it followed a 6m margin over the AP mile. With some tempo, he can descend on them here.

ARNOLD STREET (2) made the most of his gate to take control in a Trot Rods event two runs back and form the front was able to take them all the way. Trying to see it out last start over the 1780, he was faded in the closing stages to be 5m in arrears. From the gate he can be gripping on.

MONTANA EXPRESS (3) was exposed in the early stages before obtaining the 1x1 trail last start and finishing 8m in arrears of the winner STOMPEM. Getting handy again here can see him feature.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (1) has had three runs back from a spell and lands his best gate since resuming. With the chance of the soft trip behind the speed, he can be probing for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: ROCKSLIDE (9), ARNOLD STREET (2), MONTANA EXPRESS (3), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKSLIDE (9) to win

RACE TWO

GABBYS SPORTSTAR (2) returns to the stable of Nathan Hurst who is in Qld campaigning a team. With a solitary win in 16 starts on this deck, he has managed to place on 10 occasions, the latest here two starts back when charging home to be a half-head away. He can capitalise here.

BLACKJACK BART (6) is winless in 19 attempts this season and is a maiden here on The Triangle from 15 attempts. He has however been racing in consistent fashion, the latest when leading for home and holding 2nd behind BETTOR TO BE TRICKY. The gate does not help.

FOREVER MOMENTS (4) was buried in the run last start from inside the second line when grabbing the silver behind MISS EXCLUSIVE. A winner from the front two back, she can be thereabouts.

MISS MIA (1) lands the mapping options form this gate where she can look to utilise her early hustle. 3rd in a Trot Rods scamper at her latest appearance, the gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: GABBYS SPORTSTAR (2), BLACKJACK BART (6), FOREVER MOMENTS (4), MISS MIA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GABBYS SPORTSTAR (2) to win

RACE THREE

TEACHERS PET (2)
was chasing a hat-trick of victories here two starts back when faced with a second line gate. Making some nice metres in the latter stages to be 3m from the winner, she was grabbed in the last stride at her latest attempt by LIFEINHEAVEN. From the gate, she gets every chance.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1) found them a little too slippery when fresh up last start over the AP mile where EXCITING TIMES proved too sharp. Just 2m from the winner CHAL BE here two runs back from this gate when releasing the speed, she has early options to issue a challenge.

DREAMERS DELIGHT (3) has been a beaten fav in both Qld appearances, both from gate 1 when run down after leading. Early mapping might see her working in the run, but she can be thereabouts.

MAJOR TRALEE (7) was a winner here two starts back from this same gate when stalking the leader and making the closing shot a winning one. He may just be one spot further back this time.

SELECTIONS: TEACHERS PET (2), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1), DREAMERS DELIGHT (3), MAJOR TRALEE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7

RACE FOUR

GOLDIES A DELIGHT (7) did it the tough way when holding on for the silver in the fastest Trot Rods event of 2023 here last week. Runner-up to subsequent winner BLING THE LUCK here two starts back, she will be tucked away from this gate, stalking the speed and ready to pounce.

MISTER HART (1) eased to the poles from gate 4 over this trip two starts back and owned the closing power to arrive for a 1m winning margin. Chasing in vain last start behind MISS EXCLUSIVE, he lands the gate to protect the inside running and will be trying to fight off the challengers.

MISSTREPO (8) struck trouble last start that ended her chances after starting from gate 5. A passing lane winner here three starts back, with a soft trip she can be searching for the openings.

CUSTOM NIKE (9) takes her first look at Redcliffe and as a mare that can get keen and drawn the second line, it does pose a query. Not too far away last start, if she can settle, she is up to it.

SELECTIONS: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (7), MISTER HART (1), MISSTREPO (8), CUSTOM NIKE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (7) to win

RACE FIVE

FEELING THE POWER (4)
has been winless in over 12 months but might just have found the right set up to capitalise here. Snagged off the gate last start from five and unable to get warm in the latter stages, he placed in both prior starts and despite the tricky gate, is up to the task.

FOR NO REASON (5) held the pocket trail three starts back at The Creek and had the closing speed to claim a narrow victory. Asked to sit parked on this track at her latest appearance, the gate is tricky here but positioning cheaply can see her issue a challenge in this line up.

FLOORLESS (8) struck trouble last start when chasing home behind DINOSAURUS REX, beaten a similar margin behind the same winner the start prior. With the right trail she can feature here.

WHATA CHALLENGE (6) faces an ask from the outside paint for this contest but brings a win from the second line here two starts back. With even luck, he can grab some minor money.

SELECTIONS: FEELING THE POWER (4), FOR NO REASON (5), FLOORLESS (8), WHATA CHALLENGE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FEELING THE POWER (4) to win

RACE SIX

TULHURST CUDDLES (3)
is another that returns to the stable of Nathan Hurst, with the mare putting together a smart record on this deck when trained by Dave McKenzie. With 3 wins and 13 minors, she has placed in three of her past four starts and from the gate can look to cash in.

ROLLED IN GOLD (5) was snookered in the run last start from inside the second line before rattling home over the closing stages to be a half-neck short of victory. Strong to the line two starts back where she was under 2m from the winner MISTER HART, she can make a closing challenge again.

FIVE STAR GEM (4) set the tempo over last start in the 3YO Breeders consolation, holding on for the bronze behind CARTER GRANT. With a tidy record on this deck, he has podium claims.

GRIGORA (7) scored a passing lane victory over the AP mile two starts back and then last start could not go with them late over the 2138m trip. With an economical trip he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: TULHURST CUDDLES (3), ROLLED IN GOLD (5), FIVE STAR GEM (4), GRIGORA (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  TULHURST CUDDLES (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

ATOMIC PETE (8)
has the hoof on the ‘till after some tough efforts in recent starts and looks to have found the conditions here to capitalise. Asked to hang tough after being sent to sit parked from gate 6 last start, it followed a similar starchy effort when runner-up to MAYWYNS LA NINA.

HOLLYOODBOUND (4) has now had three runs back from a spell, the latest when midfield in a tough effort behind LYDIAS ART. Snagged back from gate 6 and unable to get into it two starts back, she can get forward from this alley to be near the speed and issue a challenge.

SHESFEELINSPECIAL (7) struck trouble in a Trot Rods event here last week that ended her chances. Likely to be hemmed away from this gate, she will be probing for open space to chime in.

EYEDUNNO (1) lands her best gate in a few starts and with the mapping options can secure the ideal trip to find a podium spot.

SELECTIONS: ATOMIC PETE (8), HOLLYOODBOUND (4), SHESFEELINSPECIAL (7), EYEDUNNO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ATOMIC PETE (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

PERFECT FEELING (5)
was sent to the post as fav last time out from gate 4 when covering plenty of track over the latter stages. Finishing with the silver when 4m from the winner FLASH FREDDIE, it followed a tough win two starts back and despite an awkward alley, he is up to the task.

OFFICE BAD BOY (4) sat in the pocket trail last start and was making a closing raid to be a half-head shy of the prize behind JAMAICIAN RESORT. Midfield two starts back after shuffled back along the poles, he can settle handy enough to issue a challenge in an open contest.

BORDERLINE (8) was a half-neck in arrears of the winner two starts back over the AP mile and followed that with a fading effort after sitting parked on this deck. With a quieter trip, she can feature.

BERTILS FIREFOX (7) was game after being sent around them from the second line last start to sit parked and only fading in the stretch. He will be tucked away and searching for open space here.

SELECTIONS: PERFECT FEELING (5), OFFICE BAD BOY (4), BORDERLINE (8), BERTILS FIREFOX (7)
SUGGESTED BET: PERFECT FEELING (5) to win

RACE NINE

LORD MEMNOCK (4)
is an Ultimate Machete gelding on debut for Chantal Turpin. The second foal of Blue Eyed Suzie, he ranks as a half-brother to the four-time winner THE HARRIS HAWK. With a sound qualifying trial, he can look to strike first up.

SCORES (8) tackled the older horses last start and after showing some speed out of the machine made an error. Able to hold the pocket trail despite the mistake, he was out of the money as SWEET RIPPIN claimed the prize. Back to his own age can see him feature.

MISS SYRAH (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint as she chases what is proving to be an elusive mainde breaking victory. Placed in two of her four on this deck, she can chime in again.

BREEZE ON BYE BYE (5) is a nicely bred filly by the all-conquering Bettors Delight out of Breeze ON Bronski who has produced two winners. With a sound qualifying trial, she stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: LORD MEMNOCK (4), SCORES (8), MISS SYRAH (6), BREEZE ON BYE BYE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

THEMOSTESS (1) has been given a freshen since her last appearance when fading after settling in the 1x1 trail in the run. With the mapping options on offer, there does look limited outside pressure should they want to hold. This looks an ideal opportunity to claim the breakthrough.

TUFFY (9) was able to grab a podium finish last start after a soft trip on the poles. Just a head away here four starts back when looking to take them all the way, if he can position cheaply, this wide-open maiden is certainly within his reach.

FUNTIMES (7) is the least experiences in the field after just two starts, the latest when grabbing the bronze behind SAINT JUJON. With the economical trip, she can grab another minor.

MINARUA (2) could not go with them in the closing stages last start after facing a second line gate as SWEET RIPPIN pulled away. Under 5m from the winner two back, she has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: THEMOSTESS (1), TUFFY (9), FUNTIMES (7), MINARUA (2)
SUGGESTED BET:  TUFFY (9) win/place
