Racing Queensland advises stakeholders that the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club will host a non-tab race meeting on Tuesday, November 2 for Melbourne Cup Day. The meeting with carry normal Class 5 prize money.
The program for the card includes the Capelbourne Cup – the order of entry for this event is determined by the fastest race time recorded for each greyhound since January 1, 2021.
Times from Sunday, October 31 will be used for the purpose of grading the Capelbourne Cup field on Monday. Any greyhound that has raced at Capalaba in 2021 is eligible to nominate. Total prize money for this race is $5,290.
Trainers are to nominate with Racing Queensland on OzChase or via phone on 1800851155. Nominations close 9.30am on Monday, November 1.
The program for the race meeting is as follows:
- Capelbourne Cup 366m;
- Maiden 366m;
- Novice 366m;
- 5th Grade Bitches 366m;
- Masters 5th Grade 366m; and
- Graded races as required.
