The Cloncurry & DRC non-Tab race meeting on Saturday, October 30, 2021 has been ABANDONED due to the state of the track.
Following 28mm of rainfall on Thursday , a Saturday morning track inspection by QRIC found the track unsuitable for racing due to the track not drying sufficiently in certain sections.
On Saturday, a phantom “betting” meeting will be staged at the Cloncurry racecourse with all facilities available.
Due to the abandonment, two (2) existing races from the Cloncurry & DRC race meeting will be added to the Mount Isa RC non-Tab meeting on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. They are:
Class B Hcp 1000m $10,000
Open Hcp 1200m $10,000
Any scratchings from these races from the Cloncurry & DRC meeting will be reinstated and both races will be scratching fee free at the Mount Isa meeting
These races will be conducted as races 1 and 2 on the Mount Isa RC meeting at 12.10pm and 12.50pm respectively, with the previously scheduled five (5) races amended to races 3-7 at the same times as originally scheduled.
Updated race fields for the seven (7) race Mount Isa RC race meeting on Tuesday, November 2, will be available at a later date.
An additional race will also be added to the North Gregory TC non-Tab meeting on Saturday, November 6, 2021. The additional race is:
