RACE TWO

HANOVER LECTER (2) struck trouble last start that ended her chances when tackling the 2138m trip at headquarters. Bets of the chasers behind the easy winner TEE JAY CEE here 2 starts back when settling in the pocket trail, she has the early speed to pounce on the poles and take her shot.

SHAKATIE (4) has been runner-up in her past 3 in succession all here at Redcliffe. Hitting the line in nice order behind PIPPA MAGUIRE last start after starting from gate 9, it followed a smart close out behind the passing lane winner CATHC PHRASE. She can be chiming in again.

OUR BOY ROY (5) should take benefit from his return here last start when first up since March. Eased from gate 6, it was against the tempo, and he can be sharper here.

SPECIAL MEANING (8) should appreciate tackling a race under these conditions after finishing down the line behind the flying COBBITY CASTLE last time out. With the right trail he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: HANOVER LECTER (2), SHAKATIE (4), OUR BOY ROY (5), SPECIAL MEANING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HANOVER LECTER (2) to win

RACE THREE

SEELSTERS SONG (5)
was sent forward from gate 6 last time out to take control and after a steady tempo was unable to put them away. That had followed a smart win at The Creek when grinding it out in the breeze. Sent forward, she can look for redemption here.

SHES ALL STAR (1) makes her first appearance in Qld for Jack Butler, arriving from NSW. A four-time winner, she has been down the line in recent outings, the latest in slick time at Penrith. From this alley against this opposition, she can throw it down first up.

WHATA REACTOR (8) started from gate 9 last start and settling in the running line was keen in the run when finishing 3m in arrears as the race fav. This is no harder and she can feature once again.

DATSINAHURRI (4) has been runner-up at her past 3 in succession, the latest when grabbed in the last stride. Forced to grind it out in the breeze the start prior, she can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: SEELSTERS SONG (5), SHES ALL STAR (1), WHATA REACTOR (8), DATSINAHURRI (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

STUDLEIGH WILL (1)
was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start when sent forward from gate 4 to sit parked. Fading under the toil, it followed a 2nd at Marburg where he was run down in the closing stages. From the gate in this line up he gets every chance to dictate.

AROONA (3) sat in the trail last start from gate 1 when trying to launch a closing raid and coming in with the silver. Not too far away over the AP 2138m 2 starts back behind ARMA VEYRON, he can get the right trip from this alley to make a closing challenge.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7) started from this alley last start and was soon shuffled away and never really got going over the closing stages. Runner-up the start prior, he will be ready to strike here.

MELTON LUCKY (8) was trying to make a late play here last start when grabbing the bronze and finishing 7m from the winner. With the right trail he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (1), AROONA (3), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7), MELTON LUCKY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH WILL (1) to win

RACE FIVE

CLARENDEN DAZZLER (2) was an all the way winner at Marburg 3 starts back when making the most of gate 1 to lead throughout. Attacking the line in smart order at his next outing, put a line through his latest offering when striking trouble. He has the gate to take control.

LIVING GRAND (3) was not ideally suited last start when buried in the run from inside the 2nd line over the AP 2138m. Wide for a long way the start prior over the 2040m trip, the improved gate is a big help to his chances of throwing down the challenge.

LIFEINHEAVEN (4) eased from gate 6 last start to find the pegs and from there was always facing a task behind the gun 2YO LEAP TO FAME. Fromm the sticky gate she can be thereabouts.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (1) was trying to pick up ground last start when finishing 3m from the winner BRILLIANT ART. Not much went right for him 2 starts back and he lands the gate to feature here.

SELECTIONS: CLARENDEN DAZZLER (2), LIVING GRAND (3), LIFEINHEAVEN (4), THE CASUAL GOOSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARENDEN DAZZLER (2) to win

RACE SIX

MONTANA EXPRESS (4)
will amazingly start in the main draw for just the 2nd time in his career for this contest. How that pans out- time will tell- however he can take advantage and get forward soon after the start, he might just be able to pinch this. Strong to the line last start from deep in the pack after retreating early, he finds a winnable contest.

PACIFIC COIN (9) found the 1x1 trail last start and with the right trip had the bullets to fire in the closing stages to arrive for the prize. Holding on for the bronze 2 starts back after working in the breeze, he has no favours from this alley but with a rub of the green can challenge in this line up.

SHEZ GOT BLING (3) gets back to the Peninsula after racing at The Creek at her pas 5 starts where she has scored a win and placed on 2 occasions. Chasing LEAP TO FAME last start, she is right in this.

REGINA ELENA (7) features in a barn switch to join the Graham Dwyer team. Wide of the track in the early stages last start, she can get the easy trip against the poles to make a late play here.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA EXPRESS (4), PACIFIC COIN (9), SHEZ GOT BLING (3), REGINA ELENA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA EXPRESS (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

METAKI MAJIC (2)
takes her first look at The Triangle and should appreciate this after tackling mares qualifiers at her past 2 starts. Beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating as WAHS FIRE BUG took control, the start prior she was within 3m of the winner. The gate gives her the chance to cash-in.

MAGGIE (1) will take good benefit from her latest return when first up from a spell. Easing to find position from the four-hole, she was sound to the line behind AYE AYE CAPTAIN. With all the options from the ace gate, she will get her chance to make a challenge.

BONNIES A ROCKIN (8) has now been to the track 3 times since resuming from a spell, the latest when grabbing the bronze after being buried in the run. With the right trip she can make a play.

KATACHA MAN (7) was in the pocket trail from gate 1 last start when using the passing lane to be 6m from the winner ITZ CHEROKEE JACK. With the cosy trip he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: METAKI MAJIC (2), MAGGIE (1), BONNIES A ROCKIN (8), KATACHA MAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE EIGHT

THE HERVEY BAY (8)
should find this grade of contest to his liking after tackling a strong qualifier last time out that was claimed by the progressive DEUS EX. Within 1.5m of the winner over the AP 2138m the start prior after being nabbed late, his Redcliffe record is smart and this is within reach.

HERBS HERO (2) returns from a long spell, last seen back in August 2020. A talented but lightly raced six-year-old that has 8 wins from just 15 starts, he has opened the pipes with two trials in readiness for the return. From the gate he can tuck in behind and will improve on whatever he achieves.

COLONEL JOY (1) has good speed out of the machine and with this gate will be in the firing line. Taking them all the way over the AP mile 2 starts back, he is yet to land victory here at Redcliffe after 12 attempts.

LIFES BLACK (7) found the ideal conditions here 2 starts back when taking control from gate 1 and leading throughout. Only beaten a head last start after working hard when parked, he will be probing off the easy trip here.

SELECTIONS: THE HERVEY BAY (8), HERBS HERO (2), COLONEL JOY (1), LIFES BLACK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE HERVEY BAY (8) to win

RACE NINE

IL MAXIMUS (5)
was hemmed away last start and when the gas presented had the closing power to zoom home over the top of them. Making late ground wide off the track over the AP 2138m the start prior, his record here is smart at 3 from 7 and he can sneak away with this open contest.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (3) did not have much luck last start in a 2nd division qualifier over the 2138m trip when down the line behind GLENEAGLE WARRIOR. The start prior he found the zippy UNCLE SHANK too slick and with a return to The Triangle can look to challenge for the prize at career start 200.

MY SECRET BEACH (1) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was soon buried in the run but could not go on with it as SLICK BLASTER put them away. He can be sharper in this line up.

ROLL WITH ROCKY (4) does not have the best record on this track and last start was a beaten red figure fav from gate 1. Only a half-head away the start prior over the AP mile, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: IL MAXIMUS (5), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (3), MY SECRET BEACH (1), ROLL WITH ROCKY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IL MAXIMUS (5) to win
