Correct weight was delayed when Stewards considered an objection lodged by B. Bearing in mind the margin of 1 and half lengths and the interference being within the vicinity of the winning post, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that ROUND OF APPLAUSE would have beaten I’M JACKO and therefore the protest was dismissed.

ROUND OF APPLAUSE – Near the 50m was steadied when racing in restricted room to the inside of I’M JACKO which shifted in. Apprentice A Bakos (I’M JACKO) was pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that near the 50m made insufficient effort to prevent her mount from shifting in and as a result ROUND OF APPLAUSE had to be steadied to avoid heels. KING BART – Near the 1200m was checked and shifted wider when awkwardly placed at the heels of ROUND OF APPLAUSE. Rider B. Ainsworth was found guilty of a charged under  AR131(d) in that near the 1000m when attempting to surrender the lead excessively slowed the pace of her mount, resulting in KING BART (N Tomizawa) improving on heels and having to be checked, then SHADYVALE SERENADE (App M Wishart) which was following being checked to avoid heels. QUALIFY (App J Lloyd) which was racing behind SHADYVALE SERENADE had to checked to avoid that runners’ heels, Jockey B.
