Jockey S. Sweedman was absent from todays meeting due to transport difficulty. Replacements as per steward’s summary.
 
 
Race 1:CHARLEVILLE HOSPITAL AUXILARY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1100m
 
NO TREBLE – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the inside. Jockey R. Tilley could offer no explanation for the seemingly improved performance.
 
STARS WILL FLY – Bumped on jumping.
 
GEKKO – Blundered on jumping and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained a laceration to the off hind leg. Trainer R. Kirwin was advised the gelding will require a veterinary certificate prior to next racing.
 
VERVE - Began awkwardly.
 
ORDERS – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 2:SAM KEKOVICH BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1600m
 
SURPRISE SELECTION – Began awkwardly.
 
ITSALLKAY – Slow to begin lost ground.
 
TARWYN BLUE – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 3:GORDON LINES MEMORIAL CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 800m  
 
PATENTED - Prior to the declaration of correct weight, apprentice O. Webb applied to have her mount declared a non runner as she believed a barrier attendant had hold of the geldings head as the start was affected and as result her mount was slow to begin placing it at a disadvantage. After viewing the video footage, Stewards agreed with apprentice Webb’s assessment and declared the horse a non-runner. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.

 8 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets for the win
11 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
13 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
 
BARTOS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
DIFFICULT – Stewards permitted Jockey P. Hamblin to ride 1.5 kilograms overweight due to no other suitable rider being available. Began awkwardly.
 
OLD TOWN ROAD – Began awkwardly. Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
SKALD – Began awkwardly.
 
 
 
Race 4:PETER MOODY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1200m
 
IBINI – Raced in restricted room for a shirt distance leaving the 1000m when VALFIERNO shifted in. Jockey C. Rogers, the rider VALFIERNO was issued a reprimand under AR.131(a).
 
ALL TOO SWEET – Blundered and lost ground.
 
NOT LIABLE – Began awkwardly.
 
THE KROC – Fractious in barrier. Began awkwardly lost ground.
 
 
Race 5:CHARLEVILLE NEWMARKET/2021 BATTLE OF THE BUSH CHARLEVILLE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP – 1200m
 
TROMMELSCHLAGEN – Began awkwardly.
