POETIC REALITY – Shifted out abruptly under pressure near the 300m before being straightened by its rider.

DREAM DANZA – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, jockey L. Tilley stated that from the inside barrier he was able to settle in a forward position due to the lack of early speed and also without his mount being overly pressured. He added that the mare travelled well, however, due to racing close to the speed failed to finish the race off as anticipated. Trainer A. Coome indicated that his instructions were to obtain a midfield position and was surprised to see the mare settle as far forward as it did. He added that the mare is best suited when able to obtain cover and is afforded clear running over the latter stages. He further indicated that he would now consider sending the mare for a spell.

Race 3: JANUARY 4 GIA – PLEASE DONATE! QTIS 3YO H’CAP – 1300M

LEGAL TIES – When questioned regarding the performance, jockey J. Stanley expressed his disappointment in the performance and stated that the filly failed to travel comfortably at any stage of the event. Trainer L. Rowe was at a loss to explain the disappointing performance and undertook to report to stewards anything that becomes apparent in coming days that may have had an effect on the filly’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than that the filly had lost the near fore plate in running.

CHANAMARO – Hampered near the 900m when SHENRON shifted out abruptly.

CRAIGLEA GALIO – Slow into stride. Had to be checked near the 800m after improving on to the heels of MYOLA MILLY, then continued to overrace for a considerable distance. Eased near the 500m when placed in restricted room.

SHENRON – Commenced to overrace badly near the 900m on the heels of MYOLA MILLY and shifted out abruptly, then raced wide for the remainder of the event. Trainer M. Attard was advised that due to the gelding’s racing manners he would have to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next start.

MYSTERY ELEMENT – Inconvenienced near the 900m and then raced wide for the remainder of the event.

Doyle), which was taken in by TEVYE (H. Phillips). Apprentice H. Race 6: BECOME A CLUB 150 MEMBER 2019 OPEN H’CAP – 1300M

The declaration of correct weight was delayed after a number of riders approached the stewards with concerns that there may have been a false start. Evidence was taken from the riders and also the official starter. After taking evidence, stewards established that a number of riders had anticipated the start as the start was effected, resulting in those riders being minimally inconvenienced. Stewards were satisfied that as the starter effected the start there was no false start and declared correct weight.
