Race 1: Members Benchmark 60 H’Cap – 1075m
 
 
RATHER SILKY – Approaching the 100m was obliged to shift in to improve into clear running.
 
BLAZING DASH – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
TONTEIN – Slow to begin. Raced greenly throughout. Approaching the 400m had to be restrained after improving onto heels.
 
PLAIN ‘N’ SIMPLE – Slow to begin.
 
EMILY’S SONG – Raced wide throughout.
 
MY CERTAIN – Apprentice K Patch was granted permission to ride 1.5kg overweight as there was no other rider willing to ride the gelding.
 
Race 2: Sponsorship Available Open H’cap – 1200m
 
MONO LAD – Raced wide throughout.
 
SHENRON – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled from both nostrils on the first occasion. Trainer Mr C Attard was advised of the provisions of AR79(4).
 
TYRANNIZE – Slow to begin. Had to be steadied after improving onto heels approaching the 300m.
 
Race 3: Owners & Trainers Class B H’cap – 1300m
 
RED AND GOLD – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
PERFECT SAGA – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Overraced in the early and middle stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
TEDDER EXPRESS – Raced wide throughout.
 
RAINBOW SPARKLES – Jockey M Barnham was granted permission to ride 1.5kg overweight due to no other available rider. Raced wide throughout.
 
Following the running of race 3, FOURGRANDMAN collapsed on return to scale and suffered a heart attack. Stewards ordered a post-mortem sample to be taken from the Gelding.
 
Race 4: TRC QTIS Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1600m
 
ADDICTED – Approaching the 100m was momentarily inconvenienced by KING MAX which shifted out to improve.
 
TOM’S STAR – Underwent a prerace veterinary examination after contacting the rail en route to the barriers and was passed fit to start.
 
Following the running of race 4 stewards were advised that an error had occurred with the photo finish equipment capturing a photo. As there was no objection to the judges placings across the line, acting under AR214(4) correct weight was declared.
 
Race 5: Simmons Bakery Maiden Plate – 800m
 
DULACCA JACK – Bumped on jumping away.
 
TOY WHITTY – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly contacting DULACCA JACK.
 
BEAUTIFUL CRAZY – Apprentice K Patch was fined $100 for accepting a ride while being overweight AR190(3).
 
MRS SENNA – Laid out rounding the home turn.
