PRINCE OF MINE – Jockey M Stephens was fined $300 for excessive use of whip on the gelding.

JUSTALAD – Jockey D Evans was fined $100 for excessive use of the whip on the gelding.

Race 1: Patlaw Security BenchMark 55 Handicap 950m

ZOUTANO – Stewards permitted the Jockey R Oakford to replace Jockey A Butler as he had been stood down at Rockhampton on 04/05/19. Raced four wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have suffered from atrial fibrillation. Trainer E Scott will be advised that the gelding will require a veterinary certificate and the results of a ECG to be supplied to Stewards prior to racing again.

JELLYBEAN – Slow into stride. Raced four wide with cover throughout.

BRANDY BALLOON – Raced four wide with cover throughout.

BAGGER NEMO – Raced three wide with cover throughout.

MARGOT – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Rider lost whip near the 150 metres. Shifted out under pressure.

METEOR’S MAN – Raced keenly approaching the 700 metres and was steadied from heels.

Following the running of this event, Stewards downgraded the track to a Heavy 8.

Race 2: Star Liquor/Railway Hotel Yeppoon QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m

Jockey D Simmons was the rider of MUDDY PUDDLE DAY.

MUDDY PUDDLE DAY – Slow to begin.

STYLE LINE – Stood flat footed and missed the start by a short distance.

MRS BOUQUET – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced four wide without cover throughout.

RED SMOKE – Tightened on jumping.

HUMP DE BUMP – Raced three wide with cover throughout.

SANDY TOWN – Raced three wide with cover throughout.

LADYEYE – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Dipped near the 200 metres.

MISS INQUISITIVE – Raced wide without cover throughout.

BLUE DEWAR – Ran about in the home straight.

GEMBEAM – Shifted out under pressure for the majority of the straight.

Following this event, Stewards met with a delegation of riders and the President of the Yeppoon Turf Club. After discussing the condition of the track and verifying its safety, all parties agreed to continue.

Race 3: Regal’s Dental Class B Handicap 1100m

CHEEKY MILA – Bumped on jumping. Shifted out under pressure near the 200 metres.

UNIQUE FOXY – Jumped outwards at the start and bumped CHEEKY MILA.

BLOSSOM – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

FADING MIST – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

QUADACUS – Returned to the enclosure with blood in the offside nostril. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any signs of external trauma that would have caused such bleeding. Trainer F Smith will be advised that the mare must gallop over 1000 metres to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

Following this event, Stewards with a delegation of riders and the President of the Yeppoon Turf Club inspected the track to determine if it was suitable to continue. After doing so, riders were satisfied that the track was safe to proceed.

Race 4: G.J. Gardner Yeppoon Cup Open Handicap 1400m

DAWN FIGHTER – Slow to begin.

POTEMKIN – Raced three wide with cover throughout.

SWINGAHINCH – Raced four wide without cover throughout.

OSSENHAGEN – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

UTHRED – Jockey J Stanley reported that his mount failed to handle the heavy track.

Race 5: Lion Nathan XXXX Gold BenchMark 60 Handicap 1400m

ART NOUVEAU – Bumped on jumping.

DANE CHEVAL – Began awkwardly and bumped ART NOUVEAU. Raced wide without cover throughout.

KALAGADOO CHROME – Slow to begin.

RHYOLA – Raced five wide without cover throughout.

THIN DISGUISE – Raced four wide with cover throughout.

POINT FORWARD – Raced three wide with cover throughout.

LIKE ‘EM SASSY – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

RUFFY ROAD – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
