The sun is shining, the waves are crashing, and hooves are thundering in the South-East.
It feels like summer again and the Queensland Summer Racing Carnival is where the magic happens trackside.
This year’s carnival is halfway through, but the action revs up this Saturday as racing returns to Eagle Farm with the $300,000 Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes.
The summer feature has a history of unearthing winter champions in the Sunshine State, with the race producing future Group 1 winners in Gypsy Goddess and Kovalica in recent years.
The card also showcases black-type features including the Gold Edition Plate and Lough Neagh Stakes.
