Race 1: Rocktrans Transport QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m
1st – Bolt From The Blue 2nd – Haydee 3rd – Fairy 4th - Melakai

Trainer J. Ryan was advised that a warning would be placed on the pre race manners of HAYDEE which was difficult to lead into the enclosure and ride during the preliminary.

CLAUDE [A Merritt] reared before the start.

EXCITING ERA [F Edwards] threw its head in the air upon jumping.

CASHED UP BULLY [M Elliot] was slow to begin.

TAIYO SILVER AWAY [J Babarovich] jumped in the air at the start bumping MELAKAI [K Stone].

CASHED UP BULLY [M Elliot], DAWNY [K Rockett] and SEQUADIERE [J Stopps] raced wide in the middle stages.

Race 2: Alan Rockley Memorial Sports Fund Class B Handicap 1100m
1st – Simple Task 2nd – Gaby We Love 3rd – Cosannco 4th – Full Moon Magic

Jockey A. Merrit was declared as the rider of HIDDEN RUN. The explanation tendered by Trainer T. Crossland for the late declaration of rider was accepted by Steward.

Jockey I Toward was questioned regarding the performance of MONSOON MIST. Jockey Toward stated that the horse got its tongue over the bit at the 750m and wanted to hang out for the remainder of the race. As a result of this, he was unable to fully test MONSOON MIST in the home straight. Trainer B Hunter advised that he would experiment with a different bit to prevent MONSOON MIST from hanging out. Nonetheless Mr Hunter was advised that a warning would be placed on the racing manners of MONSOON MIST.

Race 3: Remote Building Solutions Class 2 Handicap 1400m
1st – Sea Marvista 2nd – Musquito 3rd – Mon Choix 4th - Lawcourt

SEA MARVISTA [D Crossland] over-raced from the 1350m mark until the 1100m mark.

Race 4: ALT Construction Management Class 4 Handicap 1200m
1st – Left Hook 2nd – Googly 3rd – Key Result 4th – Chequin

LEFT HOOK [IToward] and REPO [F Edwards] both knuckled over at the start.

NOVA NOIR [M Atkinson] was slow into stride.

Race 5: Tolga Hotel Open Handicap 1200m
1st – Forbes 2nd - Montgresin 3rd – Ready To Rise 4th – Jacob’s Trick

HOBSON’S CHOICE [M Atkinson] was slow to begin.

JACOB’S TRICK [S Kaya] and WAR EAGLE [F Edwards] bumped at the 800m mark.

BEURRE [J Stopps] raced wide throughout.

MONTGRESIN (Graham Kliese) returned to the enclosure with blood in it’s mouth. Jockey Kliese reported that MONGTGRESIN it’s head in the barriers as the start was affected. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the blood evident in the horse’s mouth and nostrils upon cooling down was due to external trauma and not an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.
