STEWARDS: J Childs (Chairman), A Jones

Weather: Fine Track: Good Rail: True

RACE: 1. Race delayed due to the late arrival of the ambulance. Apprentice C Abraham was replaced by C Prow (Black Bello). E Camille (Hand Time) replaced Jockey R Barone who failed to arrive on course by the required time. Stewards accepted the explanation of both riders why they failed to fulfill their engagements. Black Bello and Whosh Rock (J Baker) were slowly away. On jumping Hand Time, Be My Prince (R McMaster) and Star Moss (P Thureson) were crowded for room between Ebony Crystal (C Baker) which jumped out and Lord Killowen (E Simmons) which jumped in, resulting in Be My Prince losing considerable ground. Kallima Rose (C Taylor) and Lannon (R Bellert) made contact on jumping. Jockey P Thureson was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift out coming into heavy contact with Lord Killowen approaching the finish. Chief Salieri (K Blinco) which was racing to the outside of Lord Killowen had to be steadied in the incident. Time off 1.37 PM.

RACE: 2. Trainer K Austin was fined the sum of $25 for failing to declare the rider of El Irish by the required time. Gypsy Kellina (B Richardson) jumped awkwardly. El Irish, which jumped in, made heavy contact with Mr. Peace (C Prow). Time off 2.05 PM.

RACE: 3. Make My Diamonds (R McMaster) jumped with its head in the air. Approaching the 800 meters North Creek Road (C Baker) was checked from the heels of Bold And Proud (E Camille) as the pace slowed. Time Off 2.40 PM.

RACE: 4. Sleepy Poet (R McMaster) jumped with its head in the air. Captain Smooth (C Baker) and Brazen Bill (E Simmons) were slowly away. Approaching the home turn Ciano Prince (R Tilley) floundered badly losing ground. When questioned Jockey R Tilley stated that he was of the opinion that his mount had broken down. R Tilley also stated that his mount did not appear to be lame on returning to scale. A subsequent Veterinary inspection of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer V Castles gave Stewards an under taking to inform them of any abnormality that may appear in the coming week. Time off 3.15 PM.

RACE: 5. Trainer D O'Brien was fined the sum of $25 for failing to declare the rider of Exploder by the required time.
