Race 1: BARCALDINE RETRAVISION CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m:
1st – TAIM WON’T WAIT 2nd – LA TOMATINA 3rd –PRINCE RAINIER 4th -- MAGOG
BELLACIANO was scratched due to no jockey being available.
TURN (D. Slack-Smith) went down in the hindquarters at the start causing it to be slow away.
BILLKAY (D. Monaghan) jumped outwards hampering MAGOG(R. Mules).
LA TOMATINA (C. Rogers) travelled wide for the majority of the race.
TURN travelled wide to the 400m to avoid the dusty track conditions.
Race 2: GLOBE HOTEL MAIDEN PLATE 1000m:
1st – RED SUNDOWN 2nd – TERESA 3rd – WILD BLUE LADY 4th – HAYIL MOONIE
TERESA (C. Dixon) jumped awkwardly.
WILD BLUE LADY (C.Rogers) was slow away and lost considerable ground.
WILD BLUE LADY and HAYIL MOONIE (D. Rewald) travelled wide from the 450m.
Race 3: BARCALDINE REGIONAL COUNCIL CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1200m:
1st – BLITZKRIEG 2nd – PALOLO DEEP 3rd – AVAGO DELBOY 4th – TIMELESS HONOUR
No incidents in running.
Race 4: ALLAN HANNAY MEMORIAL CLASS 3 PLATE 1600m:
1st – BROM STAR 2nd – TWO GENERATIONS 3rd -- PALEFACE WARRIOR 4th – TARA FICUS
Jockey R. Bellert was permitted to ride CHALAMBAR ½ kg overweight as there was no other rider was available at or close to the allotted weight .
BROM STAR (R. Mules) was slow into stride.
PALEFACE WARRIOR (A. Robinson) tended to hang in down the straight and had to be straightened on a couple of occasions.
RANGE ROVER (D.Slack-Smith) travelled wide to gain a run from the 400m.
Race 5: THE AUSTRALIAN WORKERS’ UNION TREE OF KNOWLEDGE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600m:
1st – DECERTO 2nd – EVADING 3rd – EQUITANT 4th -- FINAL DEMAND
HATANGI (C. Dixon) began to yield ground from approximately the 600m.
