SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Due to a communications mix up between the Club and some Trainers regarding the availability of App T. Harrison, Ms Harrison was dually engaged on a number of horses, rider replacements were made as per the Stewards Summary.


Race 1: Joe Knott Smash Repairs H’cap – 850m
1st – Fomal Winter 2nd – Special Verdict 3rd – Windsong 4th – Frisco Fun

ISABELLA’S IMPULSE (App T. Harrison) jumped out at the start bumping FRISCO FUN (D. Gill).

WINDSONG (App D. McWhinney) was slow to begin.

ISABELLA’S IMPULSE raced wide throughout.


Race 2: Speed-e-com H’cap – 1090m
1st – All Diehard 2nd – Dextrus 3rd – Through the Waves 4th – Barramundi

THROUGH THE WAVES (D. Gill) raced wide throughout.

Jockey D. Gill the rider of THROUGH THE WAVES was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using her whip in a forehand manner on 9 occasions prior to the 100m. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account D. Gill’s guilty plea and recent good record under this rule.


Race 3: Grant Rural Industry/Baffle Creek Tavern H’cap – 1600m
1st – Owie 2nd – Hewilldo 3rd – Secret Will 4th – Brave the Boss

OWIE (App K. Yoneyama) was slow to begin.

RAJEENA (D. Gill) jumped away awkwardly making heavy contact with the gate.

OWIE raced wide in the early and middle stages.

RAJEENA raced wide in the middle stages.

I. Coombes the rider of FROZEN TIME reported that his mount put in a couple of rough strides rounding the home turn and did not feel comfortable in its action from that point onwards. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any significant abnormalities other than it having a small laceration to its near side fore consistent with it having struck itself during the race.


Race 4: Signature Hair H’cap – 1212m
1st – Mr Magorium 2nd – Tanzill 3rd – Noah’s Smile 4th – Brennan

Approaching the 1000m COLLATERAL BLUES (I. Coombes) was eased when tightened for room between MR MAGORIUM (D. Gill) and TANZILL (App T. Harrison) which was forced wider when NOAH’S SMILE (App K. Yoneyama) shifted out. App Yoneyama was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

COLLATERAL BLUES raced wide in the middle stages of the race.

App K. Gates the rider of ASCEND reported that the gelding felt as though it had choked down over the concluding stages of the event. Trainer S. Thomas advised that he would experiment with the use of a tongue tie following today’s race.
