Race 1: GREG WHALLEY DENTAL CLASS B HCP 1380m


MYBOYMAURIE (K. Gates) was steadied at the start when tightened for room between LEMAITRE (C. Kearney) and POET’S VIEW (I. Coombes) which was taken out by REMY MARTINI (B. Derbyshire) which began awkwardly and shifted out.

POET’S VIEW raced wide for the majority.

Jockey Coombes reported to stewards that POET’S VIEW failed to muster any early speed and proved very disappointing overall.




Race 2: CLUB HOTEL B’MARK 75 HCP 1212m


SNIP ‘N’ AWAY (J. Hoopert) began awkwardly.

UNIQUE FUSE (T. Williams) raced wide throughout the event.


Race 3: TONY MADDEN ARCHITECTS MAIDEN PLATE 850m


GLENROCK MAX which dislodged rider T. Williams during its preliminary, was recaptured after galloping for a short distance, underwent a veterinary examination which cleared the gelding to race. Trainer N. Boyd was advised that a warning would be placed on the pre race manners of GLENROCK MAX.

BALANTOR (I. French) began awkwardly and shifted in bumping TIGER’S BOY (C. Kearney)

MINTO’S DESTINY (K. Gates) Hung out rounding the home turn.



Race 4: BAKER O’BRIEN TOLL B’MARK 65 HCP 850m



Trainer D. Schultz was reprimanded for presenting SUPERB EFFORT to race without a Norton bit which is part of its advertised gear.

MAKE A DEAL (C. Kearney) was slow to begin.

HANG ON TIGHT (T. Williams) which was initially slow to begin was then hampered shortly after the start when awkwardly placed at the heels of SWEET LITTLE FILLY (S. McGovern) which shifted in.

BJORN (K. Gates) and FRAHA (I. French) both raced wide throughout.

Apprentice B. Derbyshire was afforded the opportunity to comment on the seemingly disappointing performance of ZIP ZIP GIRL. She stated the drop back in distance did not suit the mare today and in her opinion the mare is better suited over longer distances.
Trainer W. Melvin agreed with the comments put forward by Apprentice Derbyshire.



Race 5: SUBWAY B’MARK 55 HCP 1090m



WILD MAX (A. Van Der Sanden) which was fractious in the mounting yard dislodging its rider, then made heavy contact with the mounting yard fence when reluctant to proceed onto the track, subsequently underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers, which cleared the gelding to race. Trainer M. Hassam will be advised that a warning will be place against the pre race manners of WILD MAX.

WILD MAX began awkwardly shifted out bumping FRISCO RAIN ( B. Derbyshire).

ALERT MISS (S. Alam) was slow to begin.

Near the 800m DECANDENT ( K.Gates) was tightened for room when racing to the inside of MARTY (C. Kearney), which shifted in. C.Kearney was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

KLUBBITT (A.Badger) and ROSEHIP (J.Hoopert) both raced wide throughout the event.

Approaching the 600m DECANDENT when racing tight between WILD MAX and MARTY, shifted out bumping MARTY then shifted in and across the heels of WILD MAX which had shifted out slightly resulting in DECANDENT having to be checked. In this incident both A. Van Der Sanden and C. Kearney where advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Near the 400m SUFFERIN SUCCOTASH suffered a fracture to its near side fetlock, dislodging rider K. St Vincent, as a result DECANDENT and ALERT MISS which were following were both inconvenienced to various degrees. SUFFERIN SUCCOTASH was subsequently euthanised on humane grounds.
