Race 1: MAIDEN 3YO & UP SET WEIGHTS - 1090m

GEMS BELL - Slow to begin.

TEN TO LIFE - Slow to begin and raced wide in the middle stages.

GALAXY QUEST - Shifted wider on the track rounding the home turn and bumped another runner. Rider reported the gelding resented the kick back from the sand track.


Race 2: BENCHMARK 65 HCAP - 1090m

YOU’LL HAVE TO DO - Slow to begin.

RODRIGEUZ - Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. Over the final 100m laid in under pressure.



Race 3: CLASS B HCAP - 1212m

EL LOCO - Presented with blinkers. Trainer M. Bailey was fined $100 for failing to make application to add this piece of gear.

CUBA LIBRE - After being fractious in the barriers a veterinary examination prior to the start cleared the mare to take its place in the field. Jumped awkwardly and approaching the 950m had to be steadied.

PLATINUM PEAKS - Slow to begin.

EL LOCO - Began awkwardly.

GLENROCK MAX - Shifted in at the 950m tightning another runner. App Summers was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.


Race 4: OPEN HCAP - 1380m

FRENCH COMMAND - which competed in race 2, was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to Race 4 and passed fit to start. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

PROSPECTOR BOB - Due to the poor performance a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer D. Gardiner was advised that he would be required to produce a veterinary clearance for PROSPECTOR BOB prior to its next start. Mr Gardiner indicated that the horse would be retired from racing.


Race 5: BENCHMARK 60 HCP - 1380m

LOTUS EATER - which competed in race 3, was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to Race 5 and passed fit to start. Tightened for room on jumping away and lost ground.

LADY’S COMMAND - Slow to begin.

KLUBBITT - Slow to begin.

ZIP ZIP GIRL - Tightened for room on jumping away.

WAY UP THERE - Raced awkward early, On return to scale rider reported the mare resented the kickback.

COMMANDER BOND - Raced wide throughout.
