Race 1: GW MURPHY BUILDER/G&J LEWINGTON/C&J PARSONS MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M
1st – CELINE’S BOY 2nd – MESQUEST 3rd – RED MISSILE 4th – DOURADA

AUSSIE STEEL (A. Nichols) began awkwardly and lost ground.

TWOTRIBESGOTOWAR (T. Banks) and CELINE’S BOY (J. Keating) were both slow to begin.

A. Nichols, the rider of AUSIE STEEL, which finished tailed off advised that after beginning awkwardly the colt then commenced to race greenly throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination of AUSIE STEEL failed to reveal any signifigent abnormalities.

Race 2: KAMARAN DOWNS/BIRDSVILLE HOTEL/BLACK TRUCK SALES OPEN HANDICAP – 1000M
1st – BLITZKRIEG 2nd – PACKT 3rd – CATCHIT 4th – TWO SHINKO’S

Due to a misunderstanding J. Keating, who was to be overweight, was declared as the rider of MR CONTROLLER and as a result stewards permitted C. Kearney to replace him as the rider of that horse when able to ride at the allotted weight.

LESTER COVE (T. Brummell) began awkwardly.

MR CONTROLLER (C. Kearney) was slow to begin.

CATCHIT (R. Mules) and GENERAL NONSENSE (D. Rewald) both raced wide for the majority of the race.

A post race veterinary examination of EQUIVOCAL revealed the gelding to be suffering from a mild case of colic for which the horse was treated for by the clubs veterinary surgeon.
Race 3: TOBY & GEM HARRIS/BALDWIN FILTERS/ROAD TRAINS OF AUST CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000M
1st – HONOURS KIDS 2nd – IMA GENERAL 3rd – SHE’S HEADING WEST 4th – LIL MINI MOO

PUSHYCAT was declared a late scratching at 12.05pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice when at the request of trainer G. Wiles, was examined and found to be suffering colic. PUSHYCAT was treated for this condition.

Due to A. Nichols being slightly distressed following race 2, and requiring fluids, stewards permitted C. Kearney to replace him as the rider of SOCIAL SWAN.

As no other rider was available T. Banks, the rider of CENTRED, was permitted to ride that horse 1 kg over its allotted weight.

IMA GENERAL (J. Kehoe) shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages making contact with HONOURS KID (S. McCullum).

Race 4: CLUNKY STATION/GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOC BEDOURIE CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1600M
1st – TSZYU 2nd – EL GUAPO 3rd – FRIGID 4th – WRITTEN HABIT

As no other rider was available T. Banks, the rider of LOTTO BLUES, was permitted to ride that horse 1 kg over its allotted weight.

FRIGID (S. McCullum) and TWO GENERATIONS (R, Faehr) were both slow to begin.

NARATEL (J. Kehoe) raced wide for the majority of the race.

R. Hilton the trainer of GRAND CORSO (J. Rudd) advised the gelding may not have appreciated today’s track conditions and in his opinion had jarred up.

A post race veterinary examination of TWO GENERATIONS revealed the horse to be lame in its near fore leg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the gelding being permitted to race again.

Race 5: McINNES WILSON LAWYERS/IOR ENERGY QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE BRACELET – 1200M
1st – TRICE AS GOOD 2nd – NKOSI’S HEAVEN 3rd – BIONIC ROCK 4th – NATONDA

As no other riders were available, stewards permitted, A. Nichols (ELECTRIC SHOK) to ride that horse 1kg over its allotted weight. T. Banks (TYCOON IS IN) was permitted to ride that mare 2kg over its allotted weight. Due to mitigating circumstances no further action was taken.

TYCOON IS IN (T. Banks) and GALAXY GOLD (J. Rudd) were both slow to begin.

MISS GYPSY ROSE (T. Brummell) raced wide for the majority of the race.





Race 6: CAVA HYDRAULICS/MAS MECHANICAL/BEDOURIE HOTEL CLASS 6 HANDICAP – 1300M
1st – PALOLO DEEP 2nd – LOUGHRAN LAD 3rd – BANDIT COUNTRY 4th – BUST THE BANK

OOLITE (J. Kehoe) began awkwardly and lost ground.

BUMPER HARVEST (D. Rewald) raced wide for the majority of the race.
