WEATHER - FINE TRACK - GOOD
RACE 1: SATURDAY RACING STARTS JULY 5TH H'CAP - 1650M.
FRAME WORK and ADMIRAL'S COMMAND raced wide throughout.
RACE 2: DOTARS H'CAP - 1400M.
SEAINTA was inclined to hang out rounding the home turn.
J. Cook, rider of SHOW'EM THE WAY, accidentally dropped his whip near the 200m..
TOMMY BAY raced wide throughout the event.
RACE 3: PRYDES EASIFEED STAMINA QTIS ADDED STAKES H'CAP - 1200M.
MAGIC LAND, which was slow to begin, was further hampered shortly after byRETRIBUTION, which was taken in momentarily by BANKA BUCK.
GEE GEE MACGREGOR raced greenly in the early stages.
Passing the 800m., FORCEFUL LAD commenced to race fiercely and shifted out to avoid the heels of ROMAN PRINCESS, and in doing so took GEE GEE MACGREGOR wider on the track.
BROWN BRIDGE pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
ROMAN PRINCESS and BEE BELLE were held up and unable to obtain clear running from after straightening until approaching the winning post.
SECRET KNOWLEDGE raced wide throughout the event.
RACE 4: STATE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT QTIS ADDED STAKES H'CAP - 1100M.
STOOD UP was hampered on jumping away between UNIVERSAL DREAMER and STAR OF MIDNIGHT, both of which shifted ground. STOOD UP raced ungenerously for some distance after this incident.
MAIZCAY MISS was slow to begin.
Passing the 1100m., SON OF ZENA shifted out, hampering LATEEN. UNIVERSAL DREAMER, which was following, also had to be steadied as a result of this incident.
Approaching the 800m., MAIZCAY MISS was reluctant to hold its position when racing tight to the inside of UNIVERSAL DREAMER.
The saddle of LIEUTENANT GENERAL shifted shortly after the start, placing him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event. As a result of the saddle shifting, M. Williamson was dislodged from the colt after passing the winning post.
RACE 5: BEAUDESERT SHIRE COUNCIL H'CAP - 1100M.
FAIRY DUST was checked at the start, between MAIZMARIE and GABIETTE, both of which shifted ground.
Passing the 950m., OUTBACK OPUS shifted in, taking RISKAYRISK in on to INFECTIOUS, resulting in INFECTIOUS having to be steadied off the heels of KIMBERLEY COOL.
Leaving the 400m., FAIRY DUST was tightened for room between MAIZMARIE, which shifted out, and REIMS, which shifted in slightly.
SHIENDLIN raced wide throughout the event.
RACE 6: PRYDES EASIFEED 3 H'CAP - 1100M.
STARS WILL DANCE lost ground when tightened for room at the start between SHYON and OOTHAPENDRAGON, which was taken in by WEEKENDZOFF.
GLORIA'S FOLLY jumped away awkwardly, making heavy contact with the side partition of the barriers.
OOTHAPENDRAGON and STARS WILL DANCE made contact on a number of occasions at the 200m. between OUR DONNY BOY and the tiring WEEKENDZOFF, which shifted in momentarily.
Inside the 200m., SMOKEY COCHRANE shifted in under pressure and bumped the hind quarters of ACKDAK.
STARS WILL DANCE was held up rounding the home turn and again inside the 50m..
ACKDAK shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages, hampering ILSOBAR. K. Cunningham, rider of ACKDAK, was cautioned and advised to exercise more care.
SMOKEY COCHRANE had a tendency to lay in during the race, and was also caught wide throughout.
RACE 7: COUNTRY & HORSE FESTIVAL CUP - 1400M.
CUT FOR DEAL was declared a late scratching at 3.35 p.m. on veterinary advice after the horse injured itself in the float en route to the course.
SUNDAE JESTER was slow to begin.
Approaching the 400m., CARAMEL STAR was tightened for room between HUGE JET and SUNDAE JESTER, which shifted in marginally.
RACE 8: FAREWELL TO FRIDAYS H'CAP - 1200M.
PUGGY, which was kicked in the chest region in the enclosure, was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.
BRAVE GENTLEMAN was slow to begin.
GOLD KING jumped awkwardly.
PUGGY raced ungenerously throughout. Trainer M. Hick's representative was advised that a warning was being placed on PUGGY regarding its racing manners.
ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
