SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Following a track inspection Stewards upgraded the track to a Good 2 at 11:15am

RACE 1: PATRONS TROPY/BELLVIEW HOTEL/KEATINGS PRODUCE OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Relaese Me 2nd-Final Crunch 3rd-Burmak 4th-Military Way

Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Stewards considered an application from App. K Gates to have her mount, FRISCO AFFAIR, declared a non runner on the ground’s of being denied a fair start. After hearing all submissions and viewing the patrol films it was established that the barrier of FRISCO AFFAIR was marginally slow to open however FRISCO AFFAIR jumped on terms with the remainder of the field and lost not measurable ground. In the opinion of the Stewards the finishing position of FRISCO AFFAIR was not effected as a result of the barrier being marginally slow to open and therefore App. Gates’ application was denied.

FRISCO AFFAIR was tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground when between SNAGAPOT (J King) which jumped out and MILITARY WAY (S Apthorpe) which jumped in.

POWERFUL SPHERE (J Hoopert) attempted to buck shortly after the start and lost ground. Trainer A. Haywood was advised that a warning would be issued against POWERFUL SPHERE.

Near the 800m, RELEASE ME (M O’Brien) commenced to over race and was forced to be eased for a considerable distance to avoid the heels of FINAL CRUNCH (M McKenzie).

HIDDEN ASSETS (N Evans) hung in from the 600m.

RELEASE ME was held up from the 400m until a point near the 250m.

Near the 50m, HIDDEN ASSETS was forced to ease to avoid the heels of FINALCRUNCH which shifted out slightly.

RACE 2: MICK GLEESON MEMORIAL/GDL/DALBY RURAL SUPPLIES CLASS 3 PLATE 1300M-
1ST-Kamadiva 2nd-Lavendi 3rd-Bastion Point 4th-Shumie Go

Due to a misunderstanding App. K Gates was declared as the rider of LAVENDI and FREEKEH at the jockey declaration time. As a result Stewards permitted App. M McKenzie to replace App. Gates as the rider of FREEKEH.

BRETONNEUX (C Maund) was slow to begin.

LAVENDI (K Gates) raced wide during the early stages of the event.

SARS MARIO (J Hoopert) raced wide during the early and middle stages.

SUZMIMA (J McKinnon) raced wide throughout.

REGAL SCOUT (R Jamieson) laid out rounding the home turn and as a result shifted very wide on the track.

As R Hancock was indisposed and not riding at the meeting he was replaced as the rider of JORJA’S DRAGON by J McKinnon.

GOLD ICE (L McCoy) was slow to begin.

BURNIN’ AWAY (J Hoopert) was tightened for room at the start and lost ground when racing between ABRAMS (J Kehoe) and ROMAN NUMERALS (A Smith) which jumped out.

SEA BANDETTE (R Jamieson) raced wide during the early stages of the event.

TOPETTE (M O’Brien) and KING AMADEO (C Kearney) both raced ungenerously with their heads in the air whilst being restrained during the early and middle stages of the event.

TOPETTE made the home turn awkwardly and shifted wider on the track.

RACE 4:DALBY NEWSPAPERS/A&B GRAINS/GORDENS MEATS CLASS B H’CAP 1000M-
1st-Desert Lair 2nd-That’swhatyouget 3rd-Finagle 4th-Streaker

JESTER SMILE (J Kehoe) was very slow to begin.

THE REGAL ONE (J King) was slow into stride.

Stewards after taking evidence from Jockey J Hoopert (THAT’SWHATYOUGET) and Jockey S Apthorpe (FINAGLE) adjourned an inquiry into the reasons for THAT’SWHATYOUGET having to be checked near the 700m to allow Jockey N Evans (STREAKER) to be present as he had left the course.

Stewards will interview Jockey Evans at the Toowoomba Race Meeting 7-1-12 in relation to leaving the course without the permission of the Stewards.
