SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Race 1: The Mick Lenihan memorial Handicap- 1200m
1st – Dom Paolo 2nd – Canadian Joy 3rd – Vintage Flint 4th – Night Escort
RANGER HILL (D. McWhinney) was slow out of the barriers.
VINTAGE FLINT (C. Jokic) jumped out on starting this event and was slow into stride. VINTAGE FLINT was wide throughout
RANGER HILL was wide on the home turn.
Race 2: The Alex & Mary Sorely Memorial Handicap- 1300m
1st – Vice or Virtue 2nd – Summer Dancer 3rd – Massie Destinys Angel 4th – Chilldown
TORNAZAKY (R. Payne) rolled out on jumping.
DESTINYS ANGEL (C. Eaton) has come out resulting in TORNAZAKY and DESTINYS ANGEL making heavy contact shortly after the start.
PARK CENTRAL (R. Hancock) jumped in shortly after the start.

CUT THE BOND (W. O’Connell) jumped in marginally shortly after the start and was squeezed out by TORNAZAKY rolling out across CUT THE BOND. CHAMPAGNE CHANNIE was also squeezed out when TORNAZAKY and DESTINYS ANGEL came into contact.
REALEE (G. Lynch) travelled wide when entering the straight.
Race 3: The Heath Stewart Memorial Handicap- 1300m
1st – Eureka Strike 2nd – Platinum Peaks 3rd – Dame Della 4th – Wrighty
PLATINIUM PEAKS (D.GILL) jumped out shortly after the start.
DAME DELLA (B. Elissa) jumped in shortly after the start

STRONG STITCH (W. O’Connell) was very slow out.
IMA LITTLE EXCITED (S.Athorpe) and FORSHOT (C.Jokic) were both slow to jump.

PLATINIUM PEAKS (D.GILL) got tightened for room when approaching the 400 metre point.
Race 4: The David & Florence Kane Memorial Handicap (Benchmark 65)- 1000m
1st – Universal Hat 2nd – Dame Judi 3rd – Why Warrior 4th – Ballard Boy
RED SUIT (C. Kearney) Missed the start.
WHY WARRIOR (B.Powell) the rider reported to Stewards that the horse became agitated in the stalls as the adjacent runner was loaded.
CHEQUE FOR FREEDOM (G. Lynch) jumped out after the start.
SPELLO (R.Payne) jumped in shortly after the start.
WHY WARRIOR over raced in the early stages of the event.
MONASHEE GOLD (R Hancock) the horse was laying in going into the turn, the rider advised Stewards that he did over check the horse which resulted in MONASHEE GOLD raising its head several times entering the straight.
MONDIAH (C.Eaton) was wide when entering the home turn and into the straight.
Race 5: The Mick Gleeson Memorial Plate ( set weights) 1000m
1st –Before a Promise 2nd – Just a Splash 3rd – Court Action 4th – Beesnest
SAILORS FANCY (B.Elissa) jumped in shortly after the start making contact with JUST A SPLASH (C.Eaton)
JULIES ROCKET (B. Derbyshire) jumped out shortly after the start and made heavy contact with CARRY THE PRESENT (B. Powell).
COURT ACTION (C.JOKIC) hanging in during the early- middle stages of the event.
JAMAICAN GIRL (W. Abbey) the rider advised Stewards his mount did not negotiate the home turn and was awkward and on the wrong leg when entering the straight.
STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY
Summary of action concerning licencees
Race 3 Trainer of IMA LITTLE EXCITED Mr John Hearn sought permission from Stewards to race his horse with Pacifiers. Stewards were satisfied with Mr Hearn’s explanation and allowed the horse to race with pacifiers and advised Mr Hearn to alter his stable return as soon as practical to cover this change in gear for this horse.
Race day illness/injuries
Race 1 Night Escort was galloped on during the event, was examined by a Veterinarian and found to have a laceration to the off side hind leg above the fetlock. Treatment was administered by the attending Veterinarian.
Race 3 Dame Bella was reported lame by Jockey B. Elissa when weighing in; a post-race examination was performed on the horse by the attending Veterinarian with no abnormalities found.
Race 4 Ballard Boy was reportedly lame in the off side front leg by its Jockey B.Elissa. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the horse has a possible tendon injury to its off side front leg and pain relief was administered.
Summary of action concerning thoroughbred horses
Race 4 MONDIAH (C.Eaton) proved difficult for the rider to mount in the yard and on the track. The horse’s manners improved when a Clerk of the course was available and able to assist the rider.

Race 5 JULIES ROCKET, Trainer Tony Williams had left the course prior to Stewards discussing this matter with him. Stewards spoke to Apprentice Jockey B. Derbyshire and she informed Stewards she was physically unable to prevent JULIES ROCKET from travelling in and making contact with CARRY THE PRESENT (B. Powell). Stewards accepted Apprentice Jockey Derbyshire’s explanation. Stewards were of the opinion this horse should perform in a jump out prior to its next start.
