SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
Steward’s today conducted an inquiry into the analyst’s findings in a blood sample taken from I’M NOT GUILTY following its first placing in Race 1, Class 3 Plate, held at Augathella, 5 April 2010.
Subsequently, Trainer C. Prow pleaded guilty to a charge under AR178 in that as the trainer of I’M NOT GUILTY, he did present that horse to race at the Augathella Race Club on 5 April 2010, when a blood sample taken from I’M NOT GUILTY, upon analysis, was found to contain a prohibited substance, namely Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate.
C. Prow was fined the sum of $2000. In accordance with AR177 I’M NOT GUILTY was disqualified from the above event and the placings were amended to:
1st: ELIMINATION
2nd: AUDUBON
3rd: MY MARGARITA
4th: SILENT TORNADO
As T.Banks was to be overweight as the rider of Race 3(AVAGO DELBOY), Race 5 (STUFF UP) and Race 6 (EPICRED) he was replaced as per steward’s race-day summary. T. Banks pleaded guilty to a charge under AR120(b) and was fined the sum of $150.00.
Race 1: BIRDSVILLE BAKERY ‘THE DUST DASH’ CLASS B H’CAP – 800M
1st – TRICE AS GOOD 2nd – LOMBARD STREET 3rd – LIL MINI MOO 4th – DESERT LAIR
IMA GENERAL (R. Faehr) was slow to begin.
SUPREME FOLLY (T. Banks) began awkwardly and lost ground.
DESERT LAIR (T. Brummell) had to steadied and lost ground leaving the 600m when racing in restricted room between SOCIAL SWAN (R. Mules) and IMA GENERAL which had had tendency to lay in. R. Fraehr, the rider of IMA GENERAL was advised to make a greater effort to keep his mounts straight in similar circumstances.
Race 2: CORDILLO DOWNS/LANDMARK/CHAMPION CONTRACTING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
1st – RASCAL’S PRAYER 2nd – CELINE’S BOY 3rd – HE’S A GARRISON 4th – MY SUNBEAM
The start was delayed when LIL DARLING (R. Faehr) took fright in the barriers from TWOTRIBESGOTOWAR (J. Keoh) in an adjoining barrier which became a little fractious and as a result shifted back causing its back barrier gates to come open and when exiting the barriers injured R. Faehr’s left ankle resulting in him being unable to fulfil his engagement. As a consequence LIL DARLING was declared a late scratching at 2.08pm. On the announcement of correct weight all bets on LIL DARLING were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 8 cents in dollar on the face value of all win bets and 9 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets to be applicable. In considering the circumstances no action was taken against LIL DARLING.
RASCAL’S PRAYER (T. Brummell) and DOURADO (R. Bellert) both began awkwardly.
Correct weight was delayed when T. Banks, the rider of HEY DIDDLEDIDDLE exercised his right to view the film footage to ascertain if he was afforded a fair start. After hearing statements from T. Banks and viewing the film it was established that as the start was effected HEY DIDDLEDIDDLE reared and lost considerable ground on its own accord and as such was declared a certain starter. S. Smith, the trainer of HEY DIDDLEDIDDLE was advised a warning would be placed on that horses barrier manners. Following this event R. Faehr was stood down from his remaining engagements and replacements were made as per steward’s race-day summary. R. Faehr was advised that he must provide a medical clearance prior to his next race ride.
Race 3: PE & GC HARRIS CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1200M
1st – LOUGHRAN LAD 2nd – PERIANDER 3rd – BUMPER HARVEST 4th – TWO GENERATIONS
Due to the delay from race 2, the start of this race was delayed, and then was further delayed when PARK HEIR after becoming fractious in the barriers slipped and became momentarily cast in the barriers, after being examined by the veterinary surgeon PARK HEIR was declared a late scratching at 2.57pm acting on veterinary advice. On the announcement of correct weight all bets on PARK HEIR were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 47 cents in dollar on the face value of all win bets and 25 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets to be applicable. Trainer N. Boland was advised a warning would be placed on gelding’s barrier manners.
TWO GENERATIONS (T. Banks) was slow to begin.
LORDOFTHERING (C. Eaton) raced wide for the majority of the race.
Race 4: VISITORS FLYING OPEN H’CAP – 1000M
1st – CLOUDCRAFT 2nd – PACKT 3rd – LESTER COVE 4th – ST GERMEIN
Correct weight was delayed when R. Mules, the rider of TWO SHINKOS, requested an investigation into the start of the race to ascertain if he was afforded a fair start. After hearing statements from R. Mules (TWO SHINKOS), J. Keating (ST GERMEIN), starter Mr S. Kirstenfeldt, barrier attendant Mr P. Coe and observation of the race, it was established that whilst barrier attendant Mr Coe was assisting J. Keating, his body had accidently protruded into the path of R. Mules hampering him as the start was effected, and resulting in TWO SHINKOS beginning very awkwardly and losing considerable ground. As a consequence TWO SHINKOS was declared a non runner. On the announcement of correct weight all bets on TWO SHINKOS were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 23 cents in dollar on the face value of all win bets and 18 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets to be applicable
Race 5: BLACK TOYOTA BETOOTA CUP OPEN H’CAP – 1600M
1st – EL GUAPO 2nd – LOTTO BLUES 3rd – STUFF UP 4th – GRAND CORSO
As R. Faehr was indisposed and no other suitable rider was available stewards granted permission for T. Banks to ride that horse 1.5kg over its allotted weight.
ADAVALE HORNET (J. Keoh) was slow to begin.
REFUHRENCE (r. Mules) and PALOLO DEEP (T. Banks) raced wide for the majority of the race.
When questioned into the performance of REFUHRENCE, jockey R. Mules stated that in his opinion the gelding was not entirely comfortable on today’s track surface and near the 1200m and again near the 1000m became unbalanced and lost ground. Stewards noted his explanation.

LITTLE ROSIE (S. McCullum) was slow to begin.
BUST THE BANK (J. Keating) began awkwardly and commenced to throw its head in the air for a short distance and lost ground.
