Race 1: XXXX MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m:
1ST-- PIPPA’S CALL 2nd -- BROWN PAPER BEAR 3rd – NO INVOLVEMENT 4th-- LITTLE RED
BROWN PAPER BEAR (S.Egan) jumped outwards making contact with NO INVOLVEMENT (D. Rewald).
HIDDEN PLAY (J. Rudd) was slow into stride and raced ungenerously throughout.
Race 2: BARCOO PLUMBING BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1300m:
1ST -- A DEPENDANT 2nd – SPINDA 3rd – ROYAL FROLIC 4TH -- IVANHOE
SCHWEIZ (N. Morton) and TATYOON (R. Sue-San) both traveled wide throughout.
A DEPENDANT (R. Mules) over raced in the early to middle stages of the race.
HELLUVA HURRY (G. Steele) hung out under pressure from the 200m.
Race 3: SMITH BROS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400m:
1st –STATE OF MIND 2nd – KEV’S DESTINY 3RD – ROYAL REWARD 4th – BELLESPY
COME PREPARED (D. Rewald) was slow away.
FORCED SALUTE (Q. Krough) was slow into stride.
Approaching the 850m KEV’S DESTINY (G.Steele) tightened TATSTAR (C.ROGERS) for room.
BELLESPY (W. Doyle) improved onto heels approaching the 800m and had to take hold.
ROYAL REWARD (N. Morton) and CRAIGLEA RAWIE (Darren Evans) traveled wide for the majority of the event.
Race 4: TW CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1050m:
1st – KANSKJE 2ND -- AGENT OF MERCY 3RD -- STANDOVER 4th – FOUR JOY
Due to a racing bar that remained against BROCHETTE, it was a late scratching at 9.28am.
HICKOCK HAND (N .Morton) jumped away awkwardly hitting the barriers, causing it to lose ground.
KING KARENA (S. Egan) was slow away.
STANDOVER (C. Rogers) lay in down the back straight, approaching the 800m, made contact with FOUR JOY (J. Rudd) which lost his rightful position in the race and in turn hindered KING KARENA, AGENT OF MERCY (D. Rewald)and NATURAL MIST (G. Steele) which lost its position in the race losing considerable ground. Trainer B. Richardson was advised a warning would be placed on the horse and stewards would need to see a considerable improvement in the geldings next race.
Race 5: NOEL ALLOM MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP 1050m:
1ST- DANA DANCER 2ND- CRYSTAL MATES 3RD- STRATEGIC WEAPON 4TH- LIGER
DANA DANCER (R. Sue-San) jumped outwards making contact with CRYSTAL MATES (N. Morton).
EIGHT PIECES (S. Egan) bounded out of the gates losing ground.
LIGER (Q. Krough) was slow away.
SEAGAL (D. Rewald) jumped away awkwardly losing ground.
WIGPOOL (G. Steele) resented the kickback proving difficult to ride for the majority of the event.
ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
