CORAL ISLE: Bucked. Barrier Certificate prior to next start.

RACE 1: MR 43 CLASS B H’CAP – 1000M

Both CENTUZA BOY and OUR REGAL GREY were slow to begin.

CORAL ISLE commenced to buck shortly after the start and continued to do so until the 800m when Jockey D Stanley was dislodged. Jockey Stanley was unharmed in the fall and connections were advised that CORAL ISLE would be required to obtain a further Barrier Certificate prior to next start.

RACE 2: QRSE SWEET JUMBO MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M

Connections of both PAL’S MEMORY and NED’S GROUCH were advised that a warning would be placed on both horses in relation to their pre-race behavior.

Connections were advised a warning would be placed on MARTINS DRAM, which was difficult to load.

The start was delayed as both SPECIAL DODGE and BELLA BANITO broke through the barriers. SPECIAL DODGE, after dislodging the rider and running a lap of the track, was inspected by the clubs vet and passed fit to start.

ANGEL REALM was slightly slow to begin.

BELLA BANDITO was inclined to lie out making the first turn.

Approaching the 600m, PAL’S MEMORY shifted in, hampering both MOD’S MEMORY and ANGEL REALM.

MOD’S MEMORY shifted out making the home turn hampering PAL’S MEMORY.

When questioned regarding the performance of short priced favorite MARTINS DREAM, Trainer Bill Keenan stated that whilst the mare had run second in both of her trials in Toowoomba she was, in his opinion, a false favorite and was not entirely disappointed with the performance. Jockey S Killen stated that the horse had been was inclined to lie out through out the event.



RACE 3: PACIFIC SEEDS CLIFTON CUP CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1100M

AVON WALTZ was slow to begin.

BALLY MOUNTIAN tightened for room at the start and lost ground between LAMYANA and SPUD’S SISTER, which shifted in.

RACE 4: WATTLE BRAE STUD DOWNS SERIES CLASS 6 PLATE – 1400M

As M Dickson had been injured earlier in the day M Tarrant replaced him as the rider of TIMBALE.

LUILATUI raced wide until the 600m.

RACE 5: MR BUSTER MAIDEN PLATE – 1580M

WIRRADILLA was slow to begin.

Connections of RIBBON BELLS, which hung out through out, were advised that a warning would be placed on that gelding.

ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
