SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS



RACE 1: CLIFTON REAL ESTATE/FELTON PRODUCE CLASS B H’CAP 1000M-
1st-Jitter Juice 2nd-Raku Tu 3rd-Skyield 4th-Backstreet Jack

BOXSA (N Evans) was hampered at the start SKYIELD (W O’Connell) which jumped out.

FALVELANI (A Taylor) was hampered at the start by BACKSTREET JACK (J Kehoe) which jumped out.

TENT HARMONY (L Morrison) which proved difficult to load, raced ungenerously for a short distance shortly after the start.

RAKU TU (C Eaton) over raced during the early stages of the event.

TORQUE DIRTY (L Appo) hung out badly and shifted very wide on the track rounding the first turn. The trainer’s representative for Mr Schofield was advised that TORQUE DIRTY would be required to officially barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing.

Jockey J Kehoe the rider of BACKSTREET JACK was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out to the finish of the event.


RACE 2: YALUMBA WINES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1100M-
1ST-Crafty’s Last 2nd-Gianova 3rd-Charo’s Run 4th-Henry’s Spur

KATIKA (S Bogenhuber) and BEAU’S PRINCESS (L Morrison) bumped at the start.

GIANOVA (R Goltz) was slow into stride.

HENRY’S SPUR (A Taylor) hung out rounding the first turn.

CRAFTY’S LAST (B Appo) shifted in when placed under pressure in the home straight and near the 100m GIANOVA was forced to ease and shift out to avoid the heels of CRAFTY’S LAST.

L Morrison the rider of BEAU’S PRINCESS had a harmless full when dislodged on pulling up. Jockey Morrison was examined by the ambulance officers and was cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements.



RACE 3: PHILP BRODIE GRAINS CLASS 1 H’CAP 1400M-
1ST-Stalwart Petra 2nd-Sandy View 3rd-Crown News 4th-Canadian Hussey

WINNING APPROACH (C Eaton) hung out and raced wide throughout.

CANADIAN HUSSEY (S Bogenhuber) hung out rounding the home turn.


RACE 4: PACIFIC SEEDS/PURSEHOUSE RURAL CLIFTON CUP OPEN H’CAP 1400M-
1st-Tough Taimz 2nd-Duke William 3rd-Rattle’n’Run 4th-Final Opinion

The start was delayed when FINAL OPINION broke through the barriers. FINAL OPINION was returned to the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and cleared to start.

FINAL OPINION, THEGREATANDTHEGOOD (N Nishio) and STEP FORWARD (W O’Connell) were all slow to begin.


A post-race Veterinary Inspection of GOODY FOUR SHOES failed to reveal any abnormalities.

App. B Appo was fined $200 for striking his mount with the whip in the forehand manner on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.

RACE 5: P.B AGRIFOOD MAIDEN PLATE 1580M-
1ST-Not Without Sin 2nd-Lets Thinkabout It 3rd-Magnetic Annie 4th-No Guessing

THAT’S GOSPEL was scratched at the scratching deadline as no rider was available.

Jockey T Banks replaced C Eaton as the rider of TAIMAZOV TRUFFEL.

BOLD PROSPECT (J Kehoe), MAGNETIC ANNIE (B Appo), NO GUESSING (D McMaster) and LETS THINKABOUT IT (K Yoshida) all began awkwardly.

BOLD PROSPECT made the turn at the 1200m very wide and raced wide without cover from this point.
