Race 1: - CORNLANDS STUD & CURLEY’S TRANSPORT MAIDEN PLATE 800 Metres – 10 Starters.

1st - Cool Alley, 2nd: Exit to Knowhere, 3rd: Wood Dux, 4th Canadian Hazel
When the start was effected, HACIDA (M Elliott) was slow into stride. SEA PRODIGY (App B Young) jumped awkwardly. WANDARRIE FLYER (M Dale) raced very ungenerously in the early and middle stages of the race.

Race 2: - COLEMAN STOCKFEEDS CLASS 6 PLATE: 1000 Metres – 8 Starters

1st Proud Canadian, 2nd Super Suave, 3rd Roisaway, 4th Didjano
At the start, PROUD CANADIAN (L Critoph) jumped in, tightening DIDJANO (I Toward) which in turn tightened PRINCE KARION (M Dale) who eased and lost his place. Jockey M Dale stated that after the shift from the outside, his horse resented the sand thrown in his face and was obliged to race wide to get away from it.

Race 3: PARRY NISSAN SUZUKI CLASS B HANDICAP: 1000 Metres
9 Starters

1st Mollybegood, 2nd Pretty Swish, 3rd City of Smiles, 4th Grass Catcher
On jumping, BLAZING ARROW (Ms R Seymour) jumped in slightly hampering CITY OF SMILES (P Cullen). On returning to scale P Cullen issued a formal complaint against the owner of CITY OF SMILES (Ms V Donnollan) over accusations made in the Enclosure after the race.
After hearing evidence from both party’s, Stewards advised Ms Donnollan that any complaints must be brought to the Stewards attention, not aired in public. No further action was required.

Race4: NORTHERN MINER AND PAUL CARNEY TOYOTA NORTHERN MINER CUP CLASS 3 PLATE: 1200 Metres – 12 Starters

1st Red Pyramid, 2nd Northern Commander, 3rd Speedy Affair, 4th Checotah
SPEEDY AFFAIR was late into the enclosure due to the Gelding kicking trainer M Connor whilst being saddled. BENCHED (M Harris) refused to go to the start.
At the start BENCHED (M Harris) jumped with the field and then refused to take and further part in the race. Trainer James Knudson was advised that BENCHED must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before starting again.
CHECOTAH (I Toward) jumped out resulting in SPEEDY AFFAIR and ROMAN CHARIOT (M Cullen) being tightened between CHECOTAH and HELLO BELLE (App B Young).

Race 5: NEWMONT PAJINGO TOWERS CUP, QTIS OPEN HANDICAP. 1850 Metres – 9 Starters

1st Roadspy, 2nd Universal Lad, 3rd El Qabow, 4th Steel ‘n’ Vet
EL QABOW (I Toward) was forced to race wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED
