Race 1: CLASS B HANDICAP– 800m
1st –Court Action 2nd –Molongle Lass 3rd –Oakfiled Count 4th –Garrulous

ERNEST ALBERT (J Felix) began very awkwardly resulting in Jockey Felix being dislodged. Jockey Felix was examined by the Ambulance officials and cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.

OAKFIELD COUNT (J Kuskopf) blundered at the start almost dislodging its rider.

During the middle stages of the race SHEARER’S MAGIC (M Elliott) was taken very wide on the track by the riderless ERNEST ALBERT.

Near the 400m, SWISS STRIKE (J Long) was forced to ease to avoid the heels of OAKFIELD COUNT which shifted in when not completely clear.



Race 2: QTIS MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1800 metres
1st –Rivers End 2nd –Nuclear Missile 3rd–Another Cinderella 4th–Another Cinderella

THAT’S HOW WE ROLL (M Cullen) was slow to begin.


Race 3: BENCHMARK 70 HNDICAP- 1400M
1st –John’s Special 2nd –Left Behind 3rd –Flight Command 4th –People’s Choice

FLIGHT COMMAND (M Elliott) began awkwardly.

Stewards questioned Apprentice E Ljung and Trainer B Williams in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance of PEOPLE’S CHOICE. Apprentice Ljung advised Stewards that the gelding began reasonably however never travelled comfortably throughout the event. Apprentice Ljung further added that when placed under full pressure from the 600m PEOPLE’S CHOICE failed to respond to her riding and proved disappointing. Trainer B Williams was at a loss to explain the disappointing performance today and undertook to advise Stewards in the days subsequent to today’s event if anything is amiss with the gelding. A post-race Veterinary Inspection of PEOPLE’S CHOICE failed to reveal any abnormalities.



Race 4: CLASS 2 HANDICAP- 1200 metres
1st –Mio Mondo 2nd –Ropable 3rd –Exceeded 4th–Jaxter’s Ballet

MIO MONDO (J Felix) and JAXTER’S BALLET (J Kuskopf) made contact on jumping away.

Apprentice E Ljung reported to Stewards on returning to scale, that in her opinion EXCEEDED failed to run out the 1200m of today’s event.

Race 5: BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1400 metres
1st –Why Not Now 2nd –Simple Task 3rd –Fille Vilaine 4th –Brandy Beau
