RACE 1: VIRGIL POWER MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M

As no rider was available SNIP OF RORY had to be scratched.

COUNT SPUR (W Doyle) jumped in the air at the start then shifted out.

GO WUSHKA (D Baker) and MS GOLIGHTLY (S Wiseman) were both wide until rounding the first turn.

Apprentice Cameron Dixon the rider of PIGTAILS was fined under rule AR 137 A (5) (a) (ii) the sum of $100 for striking his mount in excess of the permitted 5 times prior to the 100m.

RACE 2: HOOKED ON DESIGN CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1000M-
1st- Fullafibz 2nd-Sistagirl 3rd-Pacific Express 4th- Team Thunderstone

SISTAGIRL (S Wiseman) jumped in at the start making contact with BONZA BRONZE (W Doyle) which jumped out.

TEAM THUNDERSTONE (S Galvin) was slow into stride, trailed the field and made the home turn wide.

Rebecca Kirwin the rider of PACIFIC EXPRESS struck her mount in excess of the permitted 5 times prior to the 100m. Stewards took into consideration her record and the fact the breech was on the minor end of the scale and issued her with a reprimand.

Stewards opened an inquiry into an incident that happened approaching the 100m which apprentice Cameron Dixon was involved. Apprentice Dixon the rider of SECTRETS may have struck his mount in the vicinity of the head. Stewards have adjourned the enquiry until a date to be fixed.

JE SUIS ROCKSTAR (S Wiseman) jumped out at the start.

LATARGIRL (N Nishio) was slow to jump then shifted out at the start.

ALANORT (R Kerwin) jumped in at the start making contact with THE GADGET MAN (C Bryen)

ALANORT over raced in the early and middle stages of the race.
RACE 4: CWRC CHARLEVILLE NEMARKET OPEN HANDICAP 1200M-
1st-Tennessee Blue 2nd-Exertion 3rd-Spirito Volante 4th- Lucky Duke

As no rider was available ELEGANCE DRAGON had to be scratched.

SPIRITO VOLANTE (W Doyle) jumped in at the start making contact with Flying Along (S Galvin).

CERTAIN CIRCLES (D Brown) jumped with its head in the air then was slow into stride.

OBLIVIATOR (P Spry) over raced in the early stages of the race.

Jockey Chris Bryen was reprimanded for weighing in over the permitted half a kilo.

RACE 5: KAREN BROOK STUDIO/AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK EVENTS CLASS 3 PLATE 1400M-
1st- Monte Pegasus 2nd-Boyng 3rd-Innocentake 4th- Woodbury Hill

I LOVE TOBOUGGIE (D Baker) was slow to begin.

MOXIE MILLION (W Doyle) jumped awkwardly.

MONTE PEGASUS (N Nishio) clipped the heels of BRUNCHER (P Spry) and blundered at the 500m when Apprentice Nishio couldn’t hold his mount.

TESTACURRI (R Kerwin) was forced to skip across INNOCENTAKE (C Dixon) heels when that gelding shifted out under pressure at the 200m and continued to shift out up the straight. Apprentice Dixon was reminded of his obligation to stop and straighten his mount when shifting ground.

MONTE PEGASUS shifted in under pressure up the straight.

WOODBURY HILL (S Wiseman) was lame in the enclosure after being unsaddled a post race veterinary examination of that gelding revealed he had sustained a torn off fore tendon. Ivan Duke the trainer of WOODBURY HILL was advised that the gelding would require a vet certificate prior to racing again.
