RACE: 1. Tigers (L Appo) slow into stride. Roman God (App C Bryen) inclined to shift out under the whip at the top of the straight.

RACE: 2. App C Bryen unable to claim any of his 3kg allowance in Ignason. When questioned by stewards App Bryen said that he had intended to claim at least the majority of his 3kg claim but he had been ill on Thursday & Friday, which had made it difficult to waste. Due to the shortage of jockeys at the meeting and a request by Trainer Bevan Klein that App Bryen be permitted to ride the horse. The stewards allowed the engagement to stand. App Bryen cautioned with regards to claiming a majority of his claim when accepting rides in the future. Ignason raced fiercely over the first 300m with its’ head in the air and lost considerable ground. The trainer was alerted. Rockeasy (M Dorrington) dismounted to load. At approx 50m Native Lance (B Appo) momentarily crowded Valente Courage (App J Walker)

RACE: 3. Bio Magic scratched at 2:05pm, failure to attend meting. Our Proud Tiger which started in race 1 was inspected by the vet and declared fit to start. App J Walton weighted in 6kg over allotted weight of 53kg. App J Walton was the only available & Trainer J Smith requested App Walton be permitted to ride Our Proud Tiger overweight. This action was permitted by the stewards. The starter L Woodall was injured when Deli’s Delight lashed out and kicked him in the leg behind the barriers. At approx the 750m Lady Humour (B Appo) was eased off the heels of Pride Pack (App S Nolen). Tinkers Fancy (W Orbell) inclinded to move about under pressure down the running.

RACE: 4. An inquiry into the engagement of P Clarke on Merry Meryl that Trainer Les Hirst had in fact engaged W Orbell to ride the horse but had nominated P Clarke as the rider when he contacted the QPC. Jockey P Clarke agreed to stand down in favour of W Orbell as he felt Trainer Hirst was in fact confused. Stewards did not pursue the matter further as it was believed Mr Hirst had made the error in good faith.
Random River (B Appo) slow into stride. From approx 750m to 550m Ransom River was unable to obtain clear running & was eased off the heels of the horses in front. Random River pushed out at the 500m slightly hampering Rhythmic Grey (D Hutchins). Jockey B Appo reminded of his responsibilities to be 2 lengths clear when crossing at all times. Random River inclined to shift in down the running.

RACE: 5. Calling (App J Walker) jumped in the air at the start losing ground. Celestial Beat (App J Walton) was inclined to run about in the lead from approx 750m to 550m.
