Race 1: Clermont Butchery Maiden Plate - 1000 metres
1st ADDA ROCKET 2nd ULUI 3rd TRACK RECORD 4th- GORDOMEN
TRACK RECORD (N Patchett) was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
Race 2: Burnett Carrying PTY LTD Class B Handicap- 1000 metres
1st NORDIC WARRIOR 2nd MONNAMEE 3rd KENSINGTON 4th- MAZA BOY
ROCKET ON POP (N Patchett) jumped awkwardly.
MAZA BOY (A Coome) and ROCKET ON POP bumped shortly after the start.
ROCKET ON POP raced wide throughout.
At approximately the 250m Jockey S McGovern lost his whip and rode NORDIC WARRIOR hands and heels for the remainder of the event.
Race 3: Belyando Produce Open Handicap- 1000 metres
1st– TAUPIN 2nd – COCO LOCO 3rd MR NICHOLAS 4th- LADROS
As the gates opened LADROS (A Coome) reared and lost ground.
COCO LOCO (N Patchett) and MR NICHOLAS (S McGovern) bumped shortly after the start.
Approaching the 600m MR NICHOLAS improved onto the heels of REGAL MOUNTAIN (T O’Hara) at which time REGAL MOUNTAIN was eased out of the event. A subsequent Veterinary inspection revealed that the gelding had sustained a laceration to its Off Hind leg and was treated. Trainer B Challacombe was advised that a vet’s certificate must be provided prior to the gelding’s next start.
Race 4: Clermont Stockfoods Class 3 Plate- 1200 metres
1st MAGIC PEARL 2nd MAID OF FALVELON 3rd CLASSY FRANKY 4th – FICKLE BUSINESS
Prior to the start FICKLE BUSINESS (A Coome) was fractious in the barriers.
CLASSY FRANKY (T O’Hara) raced wide throughout.
Race 5: Clermont Crane Hire Class B Handicap- 1400 metres
1st KING ECHELON 2nd MISTY ROCKEY 3rd SHEZIGURU 4th- MAID OF SEVENS
The declaration of correct weight was delayed as Jockey T O’Hara requested to view the patrol film in regards to TURF TSAR being afforded a fair start. After viewing the film Jockey T O’Hara was satisfied that TURF TSAR had been afforded a fair start and correct weight was declared.
TURF TSAR (T O’Hara) jumped awkwardly.
MAID OF SEVENS (T Bannon) raced wide from the 600m.
