Race 1: TIM KOITKA MEMORIAL CLASS 3 HANDICAP - Distance - 1000m.
1st - FELONIOUS 2nd - JACKY SPLASH 3rd - ZEUS 4th - PRINCE JET.

Trainer G. SMITH was fined $100 under the provisions of LR 70(1) for his failure to advise a rider for SIGA TABU by the required time.

As the barriers opened MINER’S GHOST (D.Jones) reared, almost dislodging its rider, and as a result lost considerable ground and thereafter took no competitive part in the race.

ANNIE LUCK (Apprentice J.Rudd) was slow into stride.


Race 2 : CUDECO LTD SPORT OF KINGS MAIDEN PLATE 3YO & UP Distance - 1000m.
1st - TURN 2nd - SNAGGLES 3rd - RAPID DARE DEVIL 4th - HEADSWINGER

At the start, HEADSWINGER (Apprentice S.MOSSMAN), jumped outwards, making contact with RAPID DARE DEVIL (A.Spradau), which was taken out onto TOM LIKES BEETROOT (M.Cummings).

SUSANNNA MAY (R.Thompson) was forced to race wide rounding the home turn.

Race 3 : DANIELS FAMILY CLASS B HANDICAP - Distance - 1200m.
1st - CHEAP AND NASTY 2nd - RANGE ROVER 3rd - WOODMANS WAY 4th - GOODTOBETHEKING

CUNEGO (T.Hill) and MIDDLED (M. Cummings) raced wide rounding the first turn.

Race 4: QLD DRILLING SERVICES CLASS 6 PLATE Distance - 1200m.
1st - MAISON DUPUY 2nd - MORE THAN PRIMED 3rd - FLIPPER MACARTNEY 4th - GENERAL EISENHOWER

Trainer Mrs D. BALLARD was fined $50 for failing to produce the Document of Description (AR59A) for GENERAL EISENHOWER (NZ), when required to do so.

Trainer G.SMITH advised that whilst unloading MAISON DEPUY from the float the gelding had slipped and received a superficial injury to its rear hock areas. Subsequently MAISON DEPUY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race.

GENERAL EISENHOWER (NZ) (K. Ballard) raced wide rounding the home turn.

GENERAL EISENHOWER (NZ) was inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon after blood was found present in the mouth on returning to the mounting yard.

Jockey K. Ballard advised the horse had struck its head on the starting gate whilst standing in the gates. After examination was carried out, the Veterinary Surgeon advised the blood was due to a minor injury in the mouth area consistent with having struck its head. Acting on this advice Stewards took no further action.

Race 5: NORTH QLD REGISTER/QLD COUNTRY LIFE CLASS “2” HANDICAP - Distance - 1400m.
1st - GOLD CARD 2nd - FREAKISH 3rd - STARK RAVEN
4th - MISS MANIPULATOR

Near the 1200 metres GOLD CARD (D. Jones), which was coming across from the outside, momentarily tightened MEDOWIE MOTIVATOR (NZ) (J. Rudd). Jockey Jones was advised to exercise more care in future.

MEDOWIE MOTIVATOR was inclined to hang out in the home straight.

Jockey J. Rudd reported that MEDOWIE MOTIVATOR lost both hind plates during the race.

Race 6: SUN WATER OPEN HANDICAP Distance - 1400m.
1st - GOLDEN TIME 2nd - MAIN GAME 3rd - VICTORY SANDS
4th - DOUBLE DIP

No racing incidents.

Trainer D. Ballard reported that VICTORY SANDS (D. Ballard) lost both hind plates during the race.
