Race 1: WILES ROAD SERVICES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
1st –PUSHYCAT 2nd –SNAGGLES 3rd –TOM LIKES BEETROOT 4th – RAPID DARE DEVIL

HEAD SWINGER (S. Mossman) reared as the gates opened losing ground.

CANNY JEWEL(D. Slack-Smith) which broke down near the 900m was retired from the event. In this incident HEAD SWINGER clipped the heels of CANNY JEWEL dislodging S. Mossman. Jockey S. Mossman was attended to by the ambulance officers and was subsequently taken to the Cloncurry Hospital for further examination. CANNY JEWEL was attended to by the veterinary officer and was euthanised on humane grounds. Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry to a time and date to be fixed.

DELLUGO (K. Ballard) raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 2: IVANHOE AUSTRALIA CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1000M
1st –MINER’S GHOST 2nd –FELONIOUS 3rd – GENERAL EISENHOWER 4th – FIRST TIME

D.Slack-Smith was the replacement rider of MERRIE VINTAGE.

GENERAL EISENHOWER (D. Ballard) jumps inwards at the start and momentarily crowded MINER’S GHOST (D. Jones).

ACADAMINE (K. Ballard) raced wide from near the 700m.




Race 3: QUEENSLAND DRILLING SERVICES CLASS B HANDICAP 1200M
1st –STARK RAVEN 2nd –SAILON SILVERGIRL 3rd –MISS MANIPULATOR 4th – SLIP UP

SAILON SILVERGIRL(K. Ballard) jumped outwards and bumped CUNEGO (J. Rudd) and then shied inwards and slightly hampered SLIP UP(D. Slack-Smith).

CUNEGO (J. Rudd) was slow into stride.

SAILON SILVERGIRL(K. Ballard) commenced to hang out from near the 600m.


Race 4: TIM KOITKA MEMORIAL CLASS 3 PLATE 1400M
1st –GOLD CARD 2nd –RAW NERVE 3rd –KISSANDRA 4th – COUNT OF EIGHT

Stewards permitted jockey D.Ballard to ride KISSANDRA 2kg overweight as there was no other available rider.

T. Hill was the replacement rider of NATIVE HUNTER.

COUNT OF EIGHT (R. Seymour) jumped inwards crowding both GOLD CARD (D. Jones) and KISSANDRA (D. Ballard).

MEDOWIE MOTIVATOR (K. Ballard) raced wide throughout.

Race 5: IVANHOE AUSTRALIA CLONCURRY CUP HANDICAP 1600M
1st –LONGSTREET 2nd –ST LOUIS BLUE 3rd –ABSOLUTE TRUTH 4th –GOLDEN TIME

GOLDEN TIME (K. Ballard) jumped inwards severely, hampering ARSANG (D. Jones) and MONTE SEE (T. Hill).

CATBIRD KAHN (D. Slack-Smith) blundered on jumping away.
