Race 1: IVANHOE AUSTRALIA QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000 metres
1st –Solarman 2nd – Unswept 3rd – Cool As Clang 4th- Raging Forties

Jockey A. Spradau was permitted to ride COOL AS CLANG a half kilogram overweight as no other rider was available. Jockey Spradau was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR120(b).

IWANTTOWIN (S. Mossman) jumped outwards as the start was affected and bumped DALSQUALO (D. Jones).

CLASSIC CADILLAC (T. Brummell) jumped inwards as the start was affected and bumped RAGING FORTIES (T. Hill)

COOL AS CLANG (A. Spradau) was slow into stride.

EYE THE RAPID (J. Stopps) and JAGAW (W. D’Avila) raced wide throughout.


Race 2: JOHN BULLEY MEMORIAL CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1000 metres
1ST – Brave Testimony 2nd – Silent Lightining 3rd – Woodmans Way 4th – Gelato

WOODMANS WAY (M. Cummings) was fractious in the barriers.

SILENT LIGHTNING (D. Jones) was slow away.

PURE PASSION (S. Mossman) raced wide throughout and hung out on the home turn.

SAVAGE HEMLINE (T. Brummell) hung out on the home turn.

INVERSION (J. Rudd) raced ungenerously throughout.


Race 3: ERNEST HENRY MINING CLASS 6 PLATE – 1000 metres
1st –Stellar Show 2nd – Hardheaded 3rd – Rosco’s Circus 4th – Hotel Casino

EUROS (J. Stopps) jumped away awkwardly losing ground and then raced wide for the majority of the event.

HARDHEADED (D. Ballard) began awkwardly and made contact with the side partition on jumping and as a result became unbalanced for a short distance after the start.


Race 4: JUDY KEYS MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200 metres
1st – Zooqalo 2nd – Tycoon Tyson 3rd - Heinous 4th – Dancing Duo

The track was watered prior to the start of race 4 due to the dry and dusty conditions

M. Cummings was declared as the rider of COGNAC DIAMOND.

RORY’S PEAK was found to have a swollen fetlock and subsequently was declared a late scratching at 12.55pm on veterinary advice. Trainer R. Ryder was advised that a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required before the gelding’s next start.

YOU’RE GUILTY (J. Rudd) reared on jumping and raced wide from the 1000m.

CLEAR ISLAND (T .Brummell) jumped away awkwardly and travelled wide throughout.

HEINOUS (K. Ballard) became awkward in its action near the 500m when jockey Ballard eased the gelding back to the fence. Jockey Ballard stated that the gelding initially resented the kickback when racing in behind other runners however upon straightening raced more generously and finished the race of fairly.

IMADADTOO (T. Hill) raced wide from the home turn.



Race 5: TIM KOITKA CLASS 3 PLATE - 1400 metres
1st – Great Day Out 2nd – Puffed 3rd – Stark Raven 4th - D’Lordson

STARK RAVEN (J. Rudd) stumbled at the start and lost ground.

D’LORDSON (W. D’Avila) began awkwardly.

REASSURING (K. Ballard) raced wide rounding the home turn.


Race 6: IVANHOE AUSTRALIA CLONCURRY CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1600 metres
1ST - Absolute Truth 2ND – Fat Possum 3RD – Party Charter 4TH - Kissandra

Jockey A. Spradau was permitted to ride ABSOLUTE TRUTH one kilogram overweight when no other rider was available. Jockey Spradau was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR120(b).

SOOTH SAYER (J. Stopps) jumped away very awkwardly. Jockey J. Stopps stated the horse jumped awkwardly as a result of having its head to the side as the gates opened. Nevertheless, trainer P. Inwood was advised that a warning would be placed on the barrier manners of SOOTH SAYER.

KISSANDRA (M. Cummings) was fractious in the barriers as the start was affected and as a result was slow to begin..
