RACE 1: Maiden Plate – 1000 Metres

No Racing incidents

RACE 2: Class 4 Handicap – 1000 Metres

LOVE TO TOWN was declared a late scratching at 1.40pm due to transport difficulties.
MIDNIGHT MUSIC and STITCH IN TIME ran wide rounding the first turn.
After fulfilling his engagement in this race D Jones was stood down by the Ambulance officer.

RACE 3: Open Handicap - 1200 Metres

VAIN JOE and RACE CAREER were forced to race wide throughout the event.

RACE 4: Class 2 Handicap - 1200 Metres

ZEDOLLARS was slow to begin.
TIGERMAN McCool jumped out at the start making heavy contact with CHIEF BRAVEHEART.
Approaching the 400 metres BELLEN GIRL shifted out abruptly making contact with the hind quarters of BOONGALA which became unbalanced and shifted out forcing CHIEF BRAVEHEART to gallop on the heels of IVOROSSO. Trainer A Clark reported that IVOROSSO had lacerations to both hind legs and had lost its off hind plate.

RACE 5: Class 6 Handicap - 1400 Metres

OKAY BIRDY was slow to begin.
FELIX THE MAN (NZ) jumped out at the start making contact with KALINGA MAGIC.
SMIK (NZ) forced to race wide in the early and middle stages.
POLISKY was retired from the race by its rider M Cullen at the 200 metres when in his opinion something was amiss with the gelding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer A Clark was advised to report to Stewards if anything came to light in the days following.
Jockey M Dale was fined $200 under AR145 for weighting in excess of ½ kilogram overweight on CASH’N’ CARRY.

RACE 6: Class 1 Handicap - 800 Metres

GINJOS which was fractious in the barriers was slow to begin.
