Comments
Only eleven riders were available to ride at this meeting. Races two and six had twelve final acceptors. Eventually NORTHERN DUST was scratched from race one and GAVASKAR from Race Six before the scratching time however, in both instances, the reason for the scratching was that there was no rider available and because of the large travel distances involved, it is not viable to bring the horse to the races in the hope there will be a late scratching from the particular race. In both of these instances today, there were not, as is usually the case. **********************************
