WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GOOD RAIL – TRUE

RACE 1: MELBOURNE CUP DAY AT CANNON PARK CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1250M

No racing incidents

RACE 2: GATEWAY MEDIA GROUP MAIDEN PLATE – 1250M

FRONTIER FIGHTER jumped out at the start

STONEY PLANET slow in to stride and was inclined to lay in over concluding stages of race.

HURCHARIOT travelled wide entire of the race.

RACE 3: CAIRNS 24 HOUR CENTRE CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1250M

BELLYBUTTON was slow in to stride.

LAWREY’S BELLOTTO jumped out at the start.

Leaving the 500m BELLYBUTTON shifted out making contact with TELEHO.

On the home turn PASSION KILA shifted out making contact with BOLD CENTAUR causing both horses to become unbalanced.

Leaving the 350m PASSION KILA had to be steadied to avoid the heels of TELEHO, which shifted out under pressure.

RACE 4: THE SIGN SPOT CLASS 3 H'CAP –1000M

JUNEEVA LAD was slow in to stride.

The stirrup leather on K Rockett’s saddle broke leaving the 800m, proved difficult for him to ride his mount out. On inspection of the stirrup leather, it was found that the tongue on the buckle had broke.

RACE 5: YELLOWGLEN QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1000M

HEART RULES brushed the running rail at the 500m

RACE 6: CAIRNS COLDROOM HIRE H'CAP –1400M
