Race 1: Prydes Feeds Class 1 Handicap - 1000m.
1st – He’s Prowling 2nd – King Corona 3rd – Father Knows Best 4th – Reasoned

PONY CLUB GIRL jumped in at the start initiating contact with BAILIFF.

PONY CLUB GIRL was also inclined to hang in shortly after the start to the 600m.

STAND FOR THE KING was held up for clear running behind KENTUCKY WHISPER upon rounding the home turn.

Race 2: Warrego Wool Class 4 Handicap - 1000m.
1st – El Bdoor 2nd – Pindaros 3rd – Sly Tycoon 4th – Planets

At the start MALCHOW jumped awkwardly and out making contact with FAIR RALEIGH.

CRYSTAL GAZE jumped in and the start making contact with LADY ARABELLA.

Leaving the 700m EL BDOOR was obliged to ease from the heals of OCTOSON when that gelding was forced to shift our when FAIR RALEIGH rolled out.

Approaching the 500m the saddle on PLANETS shifted placing the rider at disadvantage.

PINDAROS was disappointed for clear running during the early stages of the straight and was then reluctant to accept the available run leaving the 200m.

OCTOSON was tightened for room and eased when PLANETS commenced to shift out and SLY TYCOON shifted in.

PINDAROS lost both front racing plates during the event.

Race 3: Greg Kelly memorial Royston Stud Maiden Plate - 1200m.
1st – Blue Osier 2nd – Calcutta 3rd – Celestial Bid 4th – Ottiwell

C. Maund was declared unfit to ride MINI SPICE due to illness, consequently, C. Bryen was approved as the replacement.

TRIKWILA blundered at the start.

ZEDRAH was forced to ease momentarily when BLUE OSIER shifted on near the 1100m.

Jockey K. Watling was charged with careless riding under ARR. 137(a) for permitting his mount OTTIWELL to shift in near the 1000m when insufficiently clear of HELIACAL, resulting in that filly checking and losing considerable ground. Stewards considered K. Watlings exemplary riding record when imposing the penalty of a suspension for a period of 4 meetings to commence on m/n 25/04/2005 and to conclude m/n 30/04/2005.

Race 4: Craiglea Stud/Marr’s Removals Matilda Highway Class 3 Plate - 1200m.
1st – Cocktail Shaker 2nd – Taipan Ruler 3rd – Gempack 4th – Headquarters

J. Baker was declared unfit to ride ANNIE SUCCESS due to illness, consequently, R. Tilley was approved as the replacement.

DIXIE MUSIC lost considerable ground when HEADQUARTERS shifted out and COCKTAIL SHAKER shifted in near the 900m.

Race 5: XXXX & Dave Webster QRSE Open Handicap - 1200m.
1st –Fires Of Ireland 2nd – Solar Dancer 3rd – Self Titled 4th – Night Eyes

J. Baker was declared unfit to ride CAREYES due to illness, consequently, S. Van Klaveren was approved as the replacement.

At the start BOLD JESTER jumped out, while SOLAR DANCER jumped in tightening MOWAMBA and SELF TITTLED.

SELF TITLED eased momentarily when running onto the heels of DARK EMPORER at the 1000m.




ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
