Race 1: Glentuckie Consulting Qtis Maiden Plate- 1000m
1st – State Alert 2nd – Cardinal Rebel 3rd – Rivalissa 4th – Alpine Crystal
STATE ALERT (K Nakata) jumped out at the start making contact with CARDINAL REBEL (J Kehoe).
STATE ALERT raced wide from the 600m on.
Race 2: Mhr Shearing Class 3 Plate - 1000m
1st – General Sorriso 2nd – Phantomoftheopera 3rd – Bokrah 4th – Secrets Revealed
BOKRAH (J Kehoe) jumped in at the start making contact with EDWARDSCISSORHANDS (K Nakata).
J Kehoe the rider of BOKRAH accidently dropped his whip leaving the 150m.
BENERAL SORRISO (W Glass) had a tendency to lay in at the 150m inconveniencing CRAIGLEA MUSTANG (W Doyle).
TESTIMONIANZA (N Ogura) bled from both nostrils during the event. Trainer G Currie was advised that TESTIMONIANZA would be barred from racing for a period of 3 months.
Race 3: Steve Higgins/Oigle Coleman Memorial Open H’cap - 1000m
1st – Craiglea Fighter 2nd – The Chanster 3rd – Back On Top 4th – Dooen
BACK ON TOP (T Wolfgram) was slow into stride and raced wide throughout the event.
Race 4: Ann Duff Memorial Class B Handicap – 1200m
1st – Halfback Kid 2nd – Kirkheaton 3rd – Zipolite 4th – Trooper’s Mate
GRAIGLEA ENCORE (B Richardson) was slow into stride.
TROOPER’S MATE (J Kehoe) jumped in at the start.
W Glass the rider of KIRKHEATON was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in nearing the 100m resulting in ZIPOLITE (N Ogura) having to be steadied.
Race 5: Warrego Hotel Motel Benchmark 65 Handicap 1400m
1st – Adriatic Ocean 2nd-Tiz Corey 3rd- Master Nick 4th – La Cloisonne
ADRIATIC OCEAN (W Glass) jumped in at the start making heavy contact with LA CLOISONNE (W Doyle)
Race 6: BP Roadhouse Cunnumulla Cup Weight For Age 1400m
1st- Regal Prince 2nd- Cash In A Hurry 3rd- Lapel 4th- Guns
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of TEAM THUNDERSTONE W Doyle stated that in his opinion his riding style does not suit the horse and he advised the trainer J Patterson to try someone else.
