RACE 1: QBBS COUNTRY CLASSIC MAIDEN H'CAP E1000M.
A Pattillo (DRIFTWOOD HOUDINI) replaced D Tanti who failed to arrive on course by the required time. Stewards accepted the explanation of D Tanti.
SMARTINGLY jumped awkwardly.
CALL ME DESSIE was taken out onto LITTLE PO by EARLY GENIUS, which jumped out.
CASH OR CREDIT jumped out making contact with LILY FILOU.
CHARVALE jumped in the air as the gates opened, losing ground.
Approaching the 600m LITTLE PO was crowded for room between CASH OR CREDIT and LILY FILOU when both shifted ground.
Over the concluding stages LAKEY’S LANE hung out and onto the heels of CHATA WALK. The saddle on LAKEY’S LANE shifted to the off side in the incident.
Time off 12.36 pm.
RACE 2: DALBY BRIDGESTONE TYRE SERVICE SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES 2-Y-O MAIDEN H'CAP E1000M.
MR CHEVY (K Yoshida), which had stood in the barriers for some time, took fright and jumped forward making heavy contact with the front gates, resulting in MR CHEVY being caught between the front gates. K Yoshida who sustained a serious injury to the mouth in the incident was transported to hospital for further treatment. MR CHEVY was subsequently withdrawn by stewards at 1.15 pm. Deductions on all win bets were paid less 47 cents in the $1 win and 25 cents in the $1 place. Trainer R Maund was advised that stewards were placing a warning on MR CHEVY.
MERRY ROAD, which was slowly away, ducked out shortly after and raced greenly throughout. Trainer M Craven was advised that stewards were placing a warning on MERRY ROAD.
At the start FISCAL FAKE and PITTIPADDY were hampered between DUSTY MADAM, which jumped out and ERRATUM, which jumped in.
Time off 1.16 pm.
RACE 3: HIGGINS THOROUGHBRED TRANSPORT CLASS 1 H'CAP - 1100M.
The start was delayed whilst the starting gate that was damaged in the previous event was repaired.
BELLE SHY and SKIP THE COFFEE made contact on jumping.
Shortly after the start IDLER was hampered by AFRAID, which attempted to buck. Trainer G Hatch was advised that AFRAID was required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to its next start.
Near the 700m SMOKEY COCHRANE was eased from the heels of EXEMPLA.
Near the 400m SMOKEY COCHRANE was eased when tightened for room by NDAU, which was taken in by BELLE SHY (R Kerwin). R Kerwin was reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift ground when not clear to do so.
EXEMPLA shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
D Craven (JARDINE’S LOOKOUT) had a harmless fall from his mount on the way back to scale.

RACE 4: KEV SCHRECK MEMORIAL CLASS 3 H'CAP E1200M.
K Sawyers (GRAZINEFASHION) had a harmless fall from his mount when it broke through the front of the barriers. GRAZINEFASHION was subsequently clear by the vet to take its place in the field.
At the start LEENY was taken onto GANGSTER by BARREL A FUN, which jumped in.
Shortly after the start DIDIER was hampered between GRAZINEFASHION, which was taken out by BUSH DUCHESS and SMART SHOWOFF, which was taken in by CELESTIAL’S GOLD.
Leaving the 600m LENNY was crowded for room by PARIS CONSUL, which shifted in.
Near the 550m KANAWHA shifted out making contact with PARIS CONSUL.
MINSTRELLA shifted in over the concluding stages.
Time off 2.23 pm.
RACE 5: WILSON HTM CLASS 6 H'CAP E1000M.
At the start CONNELLY jumped out making contact with YOMBE.
Approaching the finish PRIDE PACK was eased when crowded for room between CONNELLY, which shifted in and SUDDEN TREASURE, which shifted out.
On the point of the home turn SHE’S A TAAN was steadied from the heels of CONNELLY, when crowded for room.
D Craven (SUDDEN TREASURE) dropped his whip in the home straight.
When questioned why he elected to switch to the inside on the home turn after racing wide throughout. Jockey D Craven stated that he angled back to the inside to save ground, explanation noted.
Time off 3.00 pm.
RACE 6: ERGON ENERGY PLOUGH INN CUP MAIDEN W-F-A H'CAP E1400M.
A Lane (MOOKTA MAN) replaced K Yoshida.
On returning to scale M Smith-Lester rider of the second horse FORDS BRIDGE lodged an objection against ULTRA MODERN (R Morris) being declared the winner for alleged interference over the concluding stages. After taking evidence from riders, connections and viewing of the patrol film, stewards upheld the objection as they were of the belief that the running of FORDS BRIDGE was affected by ULTRA MODERN, which shifted out over the concluding stages. Stewards also took into account the margin of a head between both horses at the finish. The amended placings were 1ST FORDS BRIDGE, 2ND ULTRA MODERN, 3RD MARLOCK, 4TH MAYNE EDGE.
At the start GORD’S GOLD jumped out coming into contact with FORDS BRIDGE.
SHARNELLE jumped awkwardly.
EDINBURG CASTLE and BATTER UP made contact on jumping.
Approaching the 1000m CEREMONIAL SON was steadied from the heels of COOROOMAN STAR, which shifted in.
MARENA LAD was eased from heels for some distance leaving the 800m.
On the home turn COOROOMAN STAR was taken onto FORDS BRIDGE by ULTRA MODERN, which shifted out.
MAYNE EDGE, which was following was steadied.
Approaching the 150m FORDS BRIDGE shifted in coming into contact with ULTRA MODERN.
A post race veterinary inspection of AGITATOR, which raced disappointingly failed to reveal any abnormality.
Time off 3.40 pm.
RACE 7: DALBY MACHINERY CENTRE DALBY CUP H'CAP E1400M.
At the start SEABAS was taken onto WRY LOOK by MR. KARBALA, which jumped in.
Leaving the 1100m GUIDANCE got its head up and shifted out whilst being steadied. GUIDANCE then over Eraced with his head up for some distance.
Leaving the 800m GUIDANCE was eased when crowded for room by WRY LOOK, which shifted in.
MASTER JOLLY was held up for clear running from leaving the 400m until approaching the 200m.
MR. KABARLA shifted out over the concluding stages.
SEABAS raced wide throughout.
Time off 4.24 pm.
RACE 8: DALBY LIVESTOCK AGENTS CLASS 2 H'CAP E1400M.
A Lane (MISTER SQUEALER) replaced K Yoshida.
SOUTHERN DAUGHTER blundered shortly after the start.
Approaching the 800m MISTER SQUEALER got its head up whilst being eased from heels.
Time off 5.03 pm.
ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
