RACE 1: J J KNOX MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M.

Stewards accepted the explanation from Trainer T Sears (SWERVES) for a late declaration of rider.

A protest was lodged by App.M Abe (SWERVES) 4th against the 1st placegetter TAMARSHAK (D Hutchins) for alleged interference near the 700m. After taking evidence from all parties and the viewing of the patrol cameras the protest was dismissed and placing stood, Stewards advised App. Abe the protest was borderline frivolous however at a subsequent inquiry it was found that TAMARSHAK raced greenly during the early stages shifting in near the 700m causing SWERVES to steady.

BENEFICENCE jumped awkwardly and slow away.

SWERVES jumped out coming in contact with IONA JUGAH

DRAMA IN THE WINGS jumped awkwardly.

MARKET LIGHTS raced wide throughout






RACE 2: DALBY PRICE RITE CARS CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1000M.

Stewards accepted the explanation from Trainer C Smith LEPRECHAUN LASS for a late declaration of rider.

There was delay with correct weight as B Appo (FLINDERS PRINCESS) wish to view the photo finish print.

A minor protest was lodged by App. G Cleeg (CLASSY SYL) 5th against the 3rd placegetter PINDAN (App C Pye) for alleged interference near the 150m. After taking evidence from all parties and the viewing of the patrol cameras the protest was dismissed and placing stood, Stewards advised App. Cleeg the protest was borderline frivolous however as App.Cleeg had to steady his mount near the 150m when PINDAN shifted out and that it was his first protest he had lodged Steward to no further action.

PINDAN jumped awkwardly

BURNITT was slow away

CLASSY SYL raced wide throughout.

RACE 3: PETER & KAYE HEWSON CANNONBALL FLYING H’CAP – 1000M.

SPINARDO was slow away

REDOAKS, WATERFORD GLORY and I DARED all raced wide throughout.

WATERFORD GLORY had to be eased near the 400m when REDOAKS rolled in.

LEATHER on returning to scale under went a Veterinarian examination which found no abnormalities

RACE 4: MURRY’S TYRES & MORE/BUSH CHILDERS CLASS B H’CAP – 1200M.

SANDSTORM, EMPTY SKY and EVERY WHICH WAY were all slow away.

Near the 500m TOUPEE (D Hutchins) struck the rail when taken in by EMPTY SKY (L McCoy) which was taken in by GEMSTONE PEAK (W Glass) which was hanging in rounding the home turn despite all efforts by its rider.


RACE 5: DALBY ENGINE REBUILDERS CLASS 3 PLATE - 1400M.

MAMBO STAR was slow away

FIGMENTATION shifted out whilst under pressure in the straight
