SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Stewards today concluded an inquiry into the reasons as to why D Llambias was dislodged from his mount HAFEY’S COMET during the running of Race 3 – Gallipoli Maiden Plate 1200m.
Stewards after viewing the race footage and taking evidence from all parties concerned found that shortly after the start HAFEY’S COMET commenced to over-race and hang out considerably. Whilst attempting to restrain the gelding App. Llambias’ saddle shifted forward placing him in a position where he was unable to restrain or prevent his mount from shifting wider on the track. As there was no outside running rail HAFEY’S COMET continued to shift out off the racing surface until it crashed through the outside boundary fence of the racecourse resulting in D Llambias being dislodged.
Stewards on the day of the incident ruled that HAFEY’S COMET must barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next start due to its racing manners. After considering all the relevant factors Stewards deemed that the embargo should stand and took no further action.
RACE 1:LEVERAGED EQUITIES CLASS 1 H’CAP 1000M –
1st –Clayton 2nd –Triple Road 3rd-Kiss The King 4th –Pull The Wool
EMDAYL ( B Powell) was slow to begin.
SHOWBIZ WHIZ (D Llambias) was hampered at the start by PULL THE WOOL (L Appo) which jumped out.
Near the 600m, KISS THE KING (C Eaton) and LITTLE RASTIS (C Kearney) were both tightened for room when racing between CLAYTON (G Geran) which shifted in and INDIAN ROCKSTAR (M Abe) which shifted out. As a result LITTLE RASTIS was forced to ease.
Approaching the 50m, PULL THE WOOL was hampered by TRIPLE ROAD (H Hamada) which shifted in away from KISS THE KING whilst under hard riding. A short distance later PULL THE WOOL shifted in tightening the running of INDIAN ROCKSTAR and LITTLE RASTIS.
LEGAL FLOSS (S Drake) was held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
RACE 2: IOOF M’DN PLATE 1200M–
1st –Dulacca Rose 2nd –Grace The Wind 3rd –Sunday Advice 4th –Young Prince
CRAMPS (C Kearney) began awkwardly and lost ground.
SYNCRO (C Eaton) and KICKIN’WITHEWIND (M O’Brien) were both tightened for room at the start by QUEEN EVITA (L Appo) which jumped out and HOPE OF SEVEN (E Wilson) which jumped in.
Leaving the 900m, QUEEN EVITA and IAMTHEONE (Y Yeung Ki) were both tightened for room between DULACCA ROSE (G Geran) which shifted out and KICKIN’WITHEWIND which was taken in by HOPE OF SEVEN.
Leaving the 800m, QUEEN EVITA shifted in making heavy contact with IAMTHEONE.
HOPE OF SEVEN raced wide during the middle stages.
Near the 100m, YOUNG PRINCE (J Letherby) shifted out under hard riding resulting in SUNDAY ADVICE having to shift wider on the track.
RACE 3: WHK OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st –All Stellar 2nd –I’m A Joker 3rd –Androuge 4th –What A Tale
NEPRO (D Llambias) was slow to begin.
PEDRO’S AMAIZING (E Wilson) was tightened for room at the start by ALTAICA (Y Yeung Ki) which jumped out.
L Appo (ANDROUGE) accidentally dropped his whip near the 100m.
PEDRO’S AMAIZING raced wide during the middle stages.
ANDROUGE and IMA JOKER (J Brown) made contact over the concluding stages when both horses shifted ground whilst under hard riding.
RACE 4: BLACK TOYOTA/SAINTS CLASS B H’CAP 1400M-
1st-Prince Hattal 2nd-Slender Option 3rd-Relative Velocity
RELATIVE VELOCITY (S Richardson) which was slow to begin was further hampered at the start by GOROKA (J Cook).
Near the 800m, GOROKA shifted out making contact with SLENDER OPTION (J Warrington).
J Warrington the rider of SLENDER OPTION was reprimanded for his use of the whip over the concluding stages.
RACE 5: SCOTT KING INSURANCES CLASS 3 PLATE 1200M-
1st-Condoleezza 2nd-Spectacula 3rd-Miss Echelon 4th-He’s Wise
MR ROCHESTER (C Eaton) jumped out at the start hampering SILVERSMITH (N Evans).
HE’S WISE (D McWhinney) began awkwardly and raced wide for the majority of the event.
Near the 700m, MR ROCHESTER (C Eaton) shifted out making contact with SPANISH SISTER (B Thomson) which was forced to shift out hampering FRENCH NOVA (J Cook). A short distance later FRENCH NOVA was further hampered by CONDOLEEZZA (M Abe) which shifted in. App. M Abe was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground for future reference.
A post race Veterinary Inspection of MR ROCHESTER failed to reveal any abnormalities.
