MALIBU BELLE (Appr.N Nishio) slow to jump.
SPINIFEX WARRIOR (J. Kehoe) slow into stride and ran very wide on the home turn.
MISS HANKY PANKY (S. Bogenhuber) began awkwardly and then hung out slightly at the 900m MISS HANKY PANKY raced ungenerously in the straight. Jockey Bogenhuber reported that MISS HANKY PANKY did not respond well to being pressured by horses outside her in the middle stages.

CAPPIN JACK (Appr. M OBRIEN) eased off heels at the 900m
CHILLED (S. Apthorpe) eased at the 800m and held up approaching the home turn.
THEGREATANDTHEGOOD shifted out to the center of the track rounding the home turn losing some ground. When questioned Appr. L. Tarrant advised stewards that he was following connections riding instructions but felt that he may have been better served by staying closer to the inside rail.
The trainer of HOOTILLA R Milne was questioned concerning the improvement in the form of his horse. Mr Milne explained that the horse was improving with racing but he had erred in backing the horse up so quickly at its previous start at the Gold Coast. Mr Milne also reported that the horse had worked very well during the week and had a liking for the Dalby track. Minimal stable support for the horse today. Explanation noted.

1st LIBERTY QUEST 2nd DWAN 3rd DARYL’S RUN 4th FLAGFLAMENCO

RUSKY’S RUBY (J.Hoopert) jumped inwards contacting DARYL’S RUN (S. Bogenhuber)
LIBERTY QUEST (K.Yoshida) jumped awkwardly.
IN MEXICO (Appr. J King) slow to jump.
DARYL’S RUN raced wide in the middle stages and greenly in the straight.
DWAN (L.Morrison) hung out over the final stages.

At the start JOHNNY AUCASH (Appr. B Appo) jumped inwards contacting ALL IN TIME (R. Goltz) then moved outwards at the same time as COBBANVILLA (W. Abbey) moved inwards causing STEPHEN GOT EVEN (Appr. N Ogura) to lose ground.
HONOUR GUARD (Appr. L Tarrant) wide throughout.
A short distance after the post HONOUR GUARD moved inwards causing ROYAL ROCKET (S. Apthorpe) to be forced inwards contacting BUTTIDO (N. Evans) heavily. Appr. L Tarrant to be contacted concerning the incident.
