RACE 1. CIVCON PLANT HIRE MAIDEN PLATE 1200M
1st CUT THE BOND 2nd CURIOSITY MISS 3rd SARGENOLLY 4th PARK CENTRAL
ANNEKE ( Appr L Tarrant ) was reluctant to proceed to the barriers. This was brought to the attention of trainer M Hemmings.
A warning was placed on HEATHERS BOY (J KEHOE) for being difficult to load.
DAME DELLA (J Brown) and MISS TALIAH (J Letherby) were both difficult to load.
SARGENOLLY (S Apthorpe) sprawled out of the stalls losing ground, SARGENOLLY angled out sharply on the home turn.
DAME DELLA raced wide throughout.
At the 600m HEATHERS BOY rolled in slightly causing DANZ ART (J Hoopert) to be eased, a short distance later HEATHERS BOY shifted out at the same time as DANZ ART moved outwards causing DANZ ART to be eased again.
Trainer S Hardy's attention was drawn to the performance of MISS TALIAH which was not competitive.
RACE 2. GOLDINGS AIR CONDITIONING HEATING CLASS3 PLATE 1200M
1st MISS MAGANI 2nd JACABUS 3rd ITALA PRINCE 4th STEEL TO THE HEEL
SWEET HUSSY was declared a late scratching at 11-10 am on veterinary advice when the mare was found to be suffering from colic. Trainer J. Thomas was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required for SWEET HUSSY before racing again.
DON’T BACK DOWN (APPR B Newport) was slow into stride.
MISS MAGANI ( B El-Issa ) jumped outwards contacting NIGHT WANDERER (J Brown).
STEEL TO THE HEEL ran wide on the home turn.
GHOST TRAIN (N Evans) raced ungenerously in the early stages.
At the 100m GHOST TRAIN shifted out forcing ITALA PRINCE (J Hoopert) out contacting STEEL TO THE HEEL.
RACE 3. ICON STEEL CLASS B HCP 1400M
1st HEY FRISCO 2nd CRAZY WAYS 3rd TENT HARMONY 4th BEAUDETTE
CRAFTYS LAST ( J Hoopert ) slow into stride.
MOUNT MORGAN (S Apthorpe) jumped out at the start.
HEY FRISCO (C Eaton) was held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
RACE 4. CARMICHAEL BUILDERS CLASS1 HCP. 1000M
1st RED SUIT 2nd AFFIRMATIVE 3rd MADE ‘N’ READY 4th STORMY ARRIVAL
FRENCH COMMAND (Appr. L Tarrant) jumped outwards contacting CASUAL CONNECTIONS(M Abe).
MADE N READY (Appr. N Ogura) was slow to jump.
SANDY VIEW (A Taylor) held up in the straight.
BILLY GOAT (S Apthorpe) had a tendency to hang in in the home straight.
At the 400m FRENCH COMMAND which was racing keenly, got on to the heels of BILLY GOAT and shifted out, at the same time STORMY ARRIVAL (B El-Issa) changed stride and rolled inwards causing CASUAL CONNECTIONS which was racing between FRENCH COMMAND and STORMY ARRIVAL to ease and lose ground.
RACE 5. DALBY GENERAL STEEL OPEN HCP 1000M
1stBEACHCOMER 2nd REILLY BLUE 3RD MINI MAIZING 4th I’LL RULE
REILLY BLUE (Appr. L Tarrant) was slow to jump.
BELLA SEA (Appr. R Payne) jumped outwards at the start.
VINTAGE FLINT (J Brown) raced wide throughout.
BERNADECIO (N Evans) changed course abruptly to the inside to obtain clear running in the home straight.
BEACHCOMER (Appr. L Tilley) shifted out over the last 50m.
It was brought to the attention of Appr L Tilley that he should not look back at other runners approaching the winning post as it may unbalance his mount.
