ACTION ROYALE suffered a bleeding attack during the event. The gelding will incur a mandatory 3mth ban from racing. A swab sample was taken from ACTION ROYALE.
After leaving the 900m FLASH FOR CASH shifted in marginally onto SESSANTANOVE taking that horse in onto BRAWNY JACK, resulting in FORGOTTEN ACCENT and COSSACK LADY having to be steadied.
SQUEEZE ME PLEASE shifted out abruptly over the concluding stages, crossing over the heels of PADDY GO EASY.
Race 3: CLASS 3 HANDICAP – 1200 metres
1st:BERNYARD 2nd: GEE GEE MACGREGOR 2rd: BUILT LIKE CLINT 4th: ANDY’S SHADOW
Prior to correct weight, Jockey M Barnham, rider of BUILT LIKE CLINT and Jockey S Quick the rider of GEE GEE MACGREGOR requested to view the photo finish print. All parties agreed that it was a dead heat.
PRIDE ‘N’PROUD had to be steadied on the home turn to avoid the heels of BERNYARD, which shifted out marginally.
Race 4: DINGO CUP - 1200 metres
1st: KID CHARLEMAGNE 2nd: LIFE’S FORTUNE 3rd: SPOOKYS BEACH 4th: DREAMS OF WEALTH
On return to scale a protest was lodged by jockey G Booth, the rider of the second placegetter LIFE’S FORTUNE, against KID CHARLEMAGNE (M Evans) being declared the winner alleging interference at the 50m mark. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol film and stewards observations, stewards dismissed the protest.
LADY LONG LEGS slow into stride.
Race 5: CLASS B HANDICAP - 1400 metres
1st: VILLENEUVE 2nd:SADLER’S RHYTHM 3rd: WESTON LAKE 4th:PALM SAN
CHILLI BEAN jumped in and MR FELIX jumped out at the start resulting in PALM SAN having to be steadied.
PALM SAN made the home turn wide.
